When using cardboard, paper, or matboard, you just have to be super careful with sanding and filing...bc it could tear and fray..it doesn't need to be exact for this..as long as you get a similar shape for your hat ..in this it gets covered anyways so you don't really notice..🥰

Thank You..I'm telling ya..that antique wax works miracles..it sits in the grooves of the design and creates the darker details..but it also helped that the plastic color was a Tan or light brown to begin with...give it a try..it works well on matboard also😊 if I have any other pieces that I have to paint with it I will definitely share that with you so you can see.

It is worth it!!!🥰 and better than real wood stain..it's not sticky and easy to wash off!!

I just remembered I have the Chrysnbon sewing room kit..I'll have to see if I can paint it wood..I'll have to check out the kit..if the machine table has wood grooves .. I will do it with the antique wax and share it. 🥰

Yes, the constant 'Tiny Friends' is annoying after the first time - really that's all you need - but it's still better than the horrific 'guys' 😉! l love the hats though, and with a Cricut you can draw a circle in the centre of the hat brim to show where to place the top part; and even a small dot to show where to start the string.
