Enjoyed your very well made video immensely!!! I am undertaking the same seat repair, only mine was in far worse condition. i am confident that I can do this! Thanks again for sharing your technique, expertise and above all the "I Can Do This" SPIRIT! I CAN DO THIS TOO!
Wow. I would never have believed that you could fix that busted up old seat. Looks great and you saved a lot of money too. (As a project you never deduct money based on time put in to it. Otherwise everyone watching tv is losing a lot of money.)
Didn't realize until the end that you were working on the BOSS's mower. Have you ever stopped to calculate the price of a replacement seat vs your labor and materials. I usually find that it ends up costing more for me to do something myself but the satisfaction of a job well done, like this project makes it all worth it. Great Job!
Really good work here on the rebuild and the video. I realize this is years old, but I could use the dimensions of the plywood for a DIY seat repair I am doing on an Exmark Lazer Z HP 44, any help? Thanks.
Great repair video .I have the same problem.with my seat on toro zero turn. Where did you purchase the new rails from??? Toro doesn't list them on parts diagram just a new seat. Hopefully you respond and Thanks .
Great job! Mine needs recovering.....are you interested? I think you have missed your calling. Really is a good job, though. I may try doing mine now. I may use some plasti dip in the missing places. There are only two. The dog was a nice touch.
I thought your video mentioned a link for the sewing needle size and thread you used. I don't see it anywhere. Do you mind sharing? Thank you and thank you for the awesome video. I need to repair our tractor chair and might try repairing our boat chair. This video helped alot.
I must say, I was very entertained... especially since I think I'm in the same boat! I'm about to tear into my Gravely seat and expect to find similar damage, wear & tear. Thanks for all the tips. Although I may just opt for an "inexpensive" new one! Just for fun, here's a link to my Handyman FB page: facebook.com/StoneCountyServices
