I had this idea last year and already made one. Simple and works great! I keep a set of dry cloths in mine.

Glad you like the idea. I’m not like the average RU-vidr, I’m way more weird… 😂 I just make videos of what I feel like and what I think will help others. I get a lot of feedback from viewers saying they love this type of behind the scenes stuff so I want to try and make a bit more of it.

Maybe a threaded cap on each side so you can access things from both sides. And it would be a good belt storage container. Could even fit some ice and cans in it lol

Can't ever get enough storage. A lot of wasted space can be turned into usable space as you just shown. if you got it, use it. Nice video Julian.

Hey! I need to find some of those 4" tubes!! I have a couple of the 3" tubes for storing fishing rods for our camping trips. They work well, waterproof, and robust. I'll look for some 4" and put end caps on either size so I can access stuff from both ends. I use hose clamps for securing. Easy on, easy off! Not pretty, but they work. Thanks for sharing!

This is the same way I made my BT stereo for my TRX500FM. Worked awesome. Completely waterproof with marine speakers. Finding 6inch plumbing was tuff but so worth it.

I’ve had a military arms tube that I got from a surplus store way back in 1994 and have used it for extra zip ties, small pieces of lighter pine along with a lighter and also toilet paper 🧻 I’ve thought about making some completely air tight with quick release fittings for air tanks, they may not hold a lot of air but maybe 2-3 tubes 3-31/2ft long might get me back to where I can get more. But the toilet paper made me out to be a king 🤴 we rode especially with the ladies and a couple guys who always had to go on the trails.

I have been watching all your videos and great advice on different tires and stuff like helped me decide on my tires I just got. that only bad thing is when you talk about how hard it is to make the videos all I can say if it’s that big of problem just don’t do them so you can enjoy your riding and your free time. As a viewer I see you get free stuff from your sponsors it’s just a turn-off hearing you complain about doing this stuff.

Not waterproof. You can glue the two ends but not the screw in lid. The only way it can be waterproof is by using teflon tape on the threaded lid. And I'd have mounted it the opposite way in case you wanted something in the tube as long as the tube is... Because of how short the distance in the cab is. If I built one it would be for fishing poles you can take apart. 👍

I mention in the video I can’t mount them the other way due to clearance. Also I show the rubber seal in the video. These are waterproof. It’s drainage piping, it has to be air tight. I also show my hand reaches in all the way to the end. Like I said in the video, everyone will build Thee differently based on their needs and application. This is what worked for my setup. They would be great for fishing poles, that’s a good idea man.

@@AdrenalineJunkieProd I didn't mean to sound like an azz if I did. I was just saying they aren't waterproof without the Teflon tape. I've been in water and sewer for my job for over 20 years and those lids are not waterproof especially if submerged. Pvc on pvc without glue or Teflon is not going to ever be waterproof. "If it's not air tight it won't be water tight". Moisture will still get in those tubes. There's a reason for this. If you have a stopped up sewer you would rather the water come out the threads of your clean out(in this case the lid) than sewer to go in your house right? And another tip, if your home has a clean out, drill a bunch of holes in your clean out lid so if you ever have a backed up sewer it has a better chance of not flooding your home with sewer water. Anyways, I won't go on in my comment about how detrimental the uv rays are to pvc pipe, how temperature effects the glue, and what happens to pvc that is actually waterproof in a hot or cold temperature. Yes yours are splash proof pretty much but not waterproof... And yes I will probably make some for my fishing poles on my ride but will take them out when I get home 👍
