Hi everyone. I watched this video & made 2 signs for my gender reveal. For anyone looking for a method that works, I successfully managed to clear the acrylic of all paint without any haziness. I used 91% isopropyl spray & wiped with a rag - paint came right off. Then used glass cleaner & rinsed with hot water. Hope this helps! And thank you original poster for this video, it was a great guide!!
Hi I love the sign ! I always wondered how people printed larger things on the circuit so thank you for answering that question lol but I have another question.. I am doing a similar method for wedding invites but I am struggling to get the tiny letters to weed out and suggestions? Their names weed out perfectly but the actual details of where the wedding is and stuff are struggling big time
Hi! Thank you so much!! Vinyl isnt really meant for tiny letters...the smallest I will weed is about .4". So I recommend ordering through a site like basic invites, that offers affordable acrylic invites! Here is the link: www.basicinvite.com/wedding/wedding-invitations/clear-wedding-invitations.html
How did you cut the design on your cricut in two halves, the top and the bottom? Since it was one design png that you upload I’m confused on how to separate the top from the bottom
Just wondering, do you let each layer of paint dry before adding another? Your colors are all very similar but I’ll be doing mine with 2-3 different colors.
Hi, I'm using Emitha on my document but for some reason when i change the letter spacing, the letters don't connect like they do with yours. If I type "Nicholas" or any name, the letters are all separated. Is there a setting for this? I love your video!
Hi Cecilia! Thank you so much 🧡 I'm guessing your lettering spacing is off but if your adjusting it then I'm not sure why its not working! Heres other fonts I like using for welcome signs: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vulhLCQtTdI.html
Not sure how long this would take to dry on glass. I'd try to find an acrylic sheet if possible versus the glass as your guests will most likely take pictures with your sign and do not want anyone hurt
Great video... loooove your work 😍 Also great tip about designing games in Canva, when I design large projects in DS it lags soooo much! Do you just save it as a jpeg or svg then upload to DS? That way cricut doesn’t need the font?
Great Video...What kind of transfer tape do you use on this because that came up so smooth...Mine always peel off the paint...Loved everything about this sign❤
Hi Gigi! The tape is linked in the video description :) I paint the backside of the acrylic and apply the vinyl to the front, so it wont touch the paint!
I’m having trouble with the cutting setting whenever I need to cut things it won’t cut all the way through or it will be too of a powerful cut that the machine takes the vynil what setting do u usually do
It is permanent but can be removed without damaging the acrylic! Just like a car decal..same vinyl and concept just on a bigger scale! Hope that helps :)
Great video! Is the link of the cricut maker that you left the exact same as yours in this video? The one on the link seems much smaller? Please can you help? xx
Carly Keller ooh perfect, thank you. Sorry one more question. Does this cricut maker allow you to print and create designs for large sizes such as A1 and A0 etc?
The paint is on the opposite side as the vinyl! You can remove the paint but its alot of work and scratches the acrylic. So I always start with a fresh piece unless I am renting out the same sign for my rental business! Then I just peel the vinyl off and add the new names/details on :)
Hi!! So I made my sign today and when I sponged on my three layers of paint I flipped it to check the other side and noticed there still is some little spots that appear clear :( Not huge and not a bunch, but enough to bother me lol. Any tips? Should I just go through and sponge another layer or two?
Is there you can email me this template. I'm trying to follow the video but when I go to cut it on Cricut it isn't being cut equally so I'm not able to
Hi! I don't remove the paint from these but reuse them by removing the vinyl and using new decals for the next couple. Removing the paint is a messy job that requires expensive cleaners which end up blurring the piece anyways. Hope that helps!
