This is a sequel to the my Best & Worst Air Dry Clays video! Since making that review, I came across several more types of air-dry clay that I really wanted to test out. The first one is Daiso Clay which everyone knows however no-one actually seems to use it for crafting :P. The second is a Chinese brand called "Beimeng" which is like a mixture of Mermaid Puffy and Hearty Soft. The third clay was a DIY recipe which I created from fluffy slime and cotton cellulose (paper fibers). The result was surprisingly good however not as light or fluffy as a classic paper clay. Btw many people might be thinking of DIY cold-porcelain clay. That IS a great modelling clay recipe however it uses cornstarch as the base. I specifically wanted to try making one using paper fibers as the base, hence the name paper clay :).

Warning: I am not hating on Joanna. It is the company I am talking about. Bangood scammed me out of over $50aud. I ordered all the colours of the paper clay, I payed and they said I would have it in 35 business days (7 weeks aka 5 days p/week). It’s March. I ordered it in January. Also they redirected me to a different clay which costs the same and they said it was better. I have checked my emails every day. I am not very happy about it.

Tbh, Daiso clay is actually good tho, i bought it last month and it works perfectly. The flower petal test is a success, and i just store the clay in a plastic wrap in a ziploc... I don't know what happens, but maybe.. you did something wrong??

it’s two different scenarios i think. for daiso she’s referring to the fact that mixing water into dry clay is really difficult, and for the bangood clay she’s talking about the process of texturing non dried clay. i do agree that unsponsored videos are more unbiased though.

Cloud clay recipie : Step 1: 1 cup of cornstarch Step 2: (depends if it is very watery,) 1 cup of hair conditioner Step 3: mix, if too sticky/watery, put a tad bit more cornstarch, and if too dry/crumbly, put a tad bit more conditioner

it gets really moldy and disgusting even if you store it in a ziploc. Also it’s really crumbly when it’s dry so I do not recommend

Yes it does work, you can also do it with shampoo and flour, or basically any 2 ingredients with that kind of texture. I used shampoo and flour cuz I ran out of cornstartch lol, it makes more of a play dough texture and u gotta keep adding shampoo/conditioner. DO. NOT ADD WATER IF IT DRIES IT WILL END UP WASHING THE SHAMPOO OUT AND IT WILL TURN EVEN MORE DRY

When you see her show the macarons, the sponsored one is still sticky (doesnt look dry) and when she taps it, it's the only one that she spends up and doesnt let us hear the sound. She also never explained why that clay looked like the freshly mixed ones but the other 2 paled out.

I found out how to make air dry clay without that cotton cellulose thingy. All you need is slime (preferably fluffy), cornstarch, and slime activator. First pour in cornstarch (as much as you want but it definitely much more than slime) and add your slime to it. Make sure that when you mix it all together, it still has a powdery texture. Almost like kinetic sand. It shouldn't clump together. If it clumps together, simply add more cornstarch until it has a sand like texture. When it reaches that stage, add your slime activator until it clumps. It will have a similar texture to resin clay. It dries in 1 - 2 days and it passed the flower petal test and it's really good to sculpt with! It's a really good diy for me, since it's much cheaper than clay! I hope this helped! I don't have exact measurements yet but I'll try to remake it and I'll make sure to tell you! But it dries really quickly, so you need to work fast when working with it. When it starts to dry up, just dip it in water and it should soften right up. and the amazing thing is that it doesn't crack at all when it dries! (If it does, probably add a little bit more slime to the mixture. *A LITTLE BIT. A REALLY* tiny piece. This recipe isn't that flexible. I actually added *JUST A TINY BIT* too much slime and it failed.) edit: The exact measurements that I used was 3 parts cornstarch 1 part slime. But if you want it to dry slower add 1 half teaspoon of water.

Mai Ideshita Not all clay. I bought clay and it took 3 days to fully dry. Explain that. It works, ok? It has the same texture as clay, it holds it's shape. What more do you expect? Joanna's was the same as mine. But instead of using cornstarch, she used cotton cellulose. Butter slime is way different. Just because it contains slime, and becomes hard when it dries doesn't mean it's butter slime. Good day to you.

One thing though, you had the hearty clay at the beginning of this video but then you only did Daiso, The Bang good one and the diy one! Why? I think you could do the hearty vs the bang good clay. I believe that it wasn't done because the hearty is good and it might have outshined the sponsored one. Good review though, just wished the hearty clay would have been compared here as it was on the video.

I like your videos, they're soothing and entertaining, but I'm starting to feel really iffy about the sponsored content (I can't count the number of Best Fiends ads I've watched across various channels T_T). You should try bread clay. It’s extremely easy and holds up amazingly. I made mini food for my dolls about 3 years ago and it hasn’t molded or fallen apart. All you do is mix bred and glue then sort of squish it to a clay like consistency. Then mold it to what you want, add any food coloring, and let dry. It takes a day or two to dry and smells like bread and glue for a little bit but it goes away and turns rock hard and as i said before, I made it three years ago and it won’t mold. It has no cracks and (as far as I remember if still check your sources about this part I haven’t made it in a while) doesn’t need to be baked. It’s simple and the results are worth it. This works best with regular white bread and I’m sure it would make a ton of things. Enjoy and happy crafting!

This paper clay looks absolutely amazing!!! I watched your video about a month ago and I fell I love with this clay. Now I do not know if this is just because it’s shipping from China and I’m in the UK but on the 4th of April it will have been a month since I ordered though it said it should come between 7 - 20 business days. I waited for that and I know that was only 5 days ago, but it gave me a time it should be here by. This may be because I’m in the UK but I do not know. I was very excited for the clay as well. 😕 I just wanted to make that a point for any other UK buyers but it might also just be me.

I recently started making things with clay and I bought some air dry clay from my local store and I can honestly say the clays you have been using in your videos are great. I know the air dry clay I got does not fluff or look fluffy when I'm done. I really like the softness effect of yours and the fluff because yours looks real. I think that's pretty cool your sponsored by this company because the quality looks amazing. I'm about to make a tutorial on my channel on making a ice-cream 🍦 cone handle and mine is good but if I was using what your using I guarantee it would look ALOT better cause yours looks good enough to eat its so real like. And don't worry about the comments saying I wonder why it's the best because your sponsored by them. The quality your using looks like the best so that's even better your sponsored by them. Every one needs to realize that us youtube channel D.I.Y's work super super hard to provide free entertainment and how to learning videos and doing what we do is hard and it definitely enterferes with regular everyday life because we put so much time into providing these types of videos. I think your doing great I like your videos and expirements because you are helping us all. I'm learning from you and so is everyone. Simple solution to dried paper clay, put the clay still In the package and put it in a plastic bag with the air pressed out so it is almost completely airtight without losing the original packaging

Hi! Since the clay is actually made FROM slime, it will definitely work however the texture will be heavier than a slime made with Daiso Clay.

thats bc she added a lot of them all at once. I have three ply toilet paper and separated it into three pieces, added them in slowly and kneaded it in, it didn't rip at all.
