Great idea to keep the big lid closed and hot glue the pile of jewels, plus the coin stacks are phenomenal. So realistic. It turned out so well, you should be so proud it. The skull on the front of the chest instead of the shield worked perfectly with your theme. You worked it up so quick and on camera to boot. It's stressful enough to do DIYs without zillions critiquing your every move.
I've mostly just been trailing your channel, but after the last couple videos I've seen I just have to subscribe! You always show the best products, DIY's, and walkthroughs, you aren't over the top and obnoxious, you don't flaunt your stuff, very down to earth, straightforward! No ridiculous intros or outros, just TheBestThings!!
The whole pirate chest vignette you have put together looks fabulous. I find having a pair of needle nose pliers near by to use when glue gunning saves my fingers from many burns.

Love this! You are so creative! My hubby made a giant skull and had it hanging up in our garage with lighting effects and music. It was really cool. I wish I could show you the video clip of it. I think you would like it.
The skull on the front looks better then the flat gold shield would have, it adds dimension and if fits better I think. The stacked coins are a great touch and pull it together.

Hot glue isnt always reliable. Personly id drill threw the inside of the small chest to fit on the big one. And then cover it in the gems. But the finish look is fantastic! Great job
Backing soda and a little water will fix the battery problem use a qtip to clean it out then let it sit for a few days and and it should be good as new
OH dear! I am so very sorry I chuckled when you burned yourself - it happens to me all the time so I share your pain! Not easy to DIY on camera!!! have to say this looks wonderful - congrats - I love watching you do DIY's for your display!!! the coin piles are perfect too! If I were doing this, I might have tried it with the larger chest open and made to look full of coins/beads and then placed the open smaller chest full of gems on top of the piled coins essentially inside of the larger chest.
Nice job except the colored bead strings and jewels are kind of bright...I think fake pearls would have gone better. Maybe painting the beads white? But that's just me. LOVE the chest .
