Came over from the cat hammock video as well. I love this! One suggestion on video is: instead of speeding through the drilling part maybe keep a short clip of it and then fade or jump to the end of that step. I love the sound of the drill and wood cutting. Asmr. The speeding through is high-pitched and jarring. I'm excited to try this project out

Came over from your cat hammock video, this is so nice! Y'all's genuine excitement and chats are so cute and refreshing. Also, really appreciate how you show options for other tools-- neither I nor my partner are hardware savvy, all the tools we own fit under our tiny bathroom sink 😅

Shelf looks fantastic. I'd probably put a clear varnish on mine, but a dark stain would look great in a neutral/bright space. btw, have you considered getting or making a steadicam rig for your camera? It'd make the footage less shaky (not placing any blame, just making a suggestion).

Thank you! So funny you say that, I actually put a clear coat in it afterwards to protect the wood. I liked the natural color of the wood, so I only did varnish. I have not thought about that, but perhaps I should 😀. I could tell that your comment came from a good place, not like some people who just criticize for no apparent reason :)
