I was glad I watched this one without my children. We prefer to not expose them to vulgar language as I’m sure I’m not alone on this as a parent. By watching your video, I was able to change old metal pipes under my kitchen sink and totally replaced it to PVC. The small main behind kitchen counter was 2". Found a 2" screw in adaptor, cut a 2" pvc to length, 2" p trap, then convert to 1.5" up to bottom of sink...It works perfectly!!!! Thank you!!!!

Very helpful! My dad always used just tephlon tape. Your video definitely ups my skill. Especially after leaking new pipes with the cheap tephlon tape we had laying arround. All that work. So much better doing a good job from the beginning. Excellent sir!!!!!

Just noticed that you used an adjustable wrench on the brass fitting, instead of the pipe wrench. I assume because brass is a softer metal, and the pipe wrench would gouge it up.
I have a question you might be able to answer. I am replacing the hot and cold water pipes under our home with PVC. Single wooden frame. 18 inches of crawl space. Is there a video showing how to connect a PVC adapter to an elbow on 1/2 inch metal pipe? GOD BLESS and thanks so much.

I've had the good fortune of growing up through my life with older smart trademen, carpenters, pipefitters, welders,and trappers and big game guide hunter outfitters etc etc. I kept my mouth shut and listened and watched closely. I heard that the yellow Teflon tape(for gas), is better than the white Teflon tape. Could this be true? Thanks again and don't stop showing your videos.
If I used one of those 1/2" metal compression coupling(with rubber inside), on half inch galvanized pipe, how long will it last? I wish I knew 1/2 as much as you do. I'm a senior citizen and have done some plumbing on our home. Which would be more expensive to clean a septic tank, the city water department or a septic cleaning company? Awesome video. Anyone know the science behind both slow 5 and teflon tape? I dont understand why you would use both? Shouldnt there be concern with one altering the other?
A guy working for Home Depot helping me in the Lancaster CA store told me I don't need primer with pvc if I use the Christy's Red Hot. He was adamant on it that I would just be waisting my money.
Sorry. While I was posting the comment, the video changed and attached it to the wrong one. It is plumbing basics. Behind your head, during your intro there is a 10" black cutoff disk and 4 1/2" grinding disks on each side. I just thought it was funny.
