When I use my sunglasses alone, it is usually blur. But when i discovered clip on sunglasses, I think it is the solution. The only problem is that I can't afford to buy one. That is why I make a video on how to make a diy poorman's sunglasses. Please watch for details.

This is really helpful. I can't wear contacts anymore and I have a collection of sunglasses that I miss wearing.

Not bad. I wear insanely large glasses, and I'm tired of my "wear over your glasses" not being large enough or fitting properly. I've seen sunglasses that would be large enough to cover my lenses, but aren't "fit over", so I wanted to make clip-ons out of the sunglasses. I'm a crafty person, so this was a good tutorial to be a starting point. All I really needed to see was the screw removal and, voila! I'm gonna be making clip ons! Thanks!

tysm dude I need some clip on sunglasses bc I'm blind without my prescription ones but I can't spend $30 on a pair just for one season (winter)

I might try this with reading glasses over my prescription single vision glasses. I can't stand bifocals... and the clip-ons (flip-ups) they sell are always so ugly!

many thanks. i used different material (stronger but requires heat to work) and epoxied the hooks into the frames for added rigidity. super stoked. can use this until my prescription aviators arrive:)

Hi! I’m looking for a strong type of wire for a similar purpose (going to make leather side shields for my sunglasses), could you tell me what you used?

@@l.j.g sry for lack of clarification - by stronger material i meant the epoxy i used. i also used standard paperclips but secured the hooks to my frames using loctite 4310 flashcure adhesive i had left over from another project. to be honest though, i recommend an alternate method of removable mounting altogether. i found the structural integrity of the wire would in all cases compromise after so many removal/attach cycles. magnets were the solution to this problem in my particular application. fastest attachment, self aligning, safer as a result especially when driving. harbor freight sells small hearing aid battery sized rare earth magnets that would suit you well me thinks. good luck!
