Im in the process of doing something exactly the same. How is yours holding up? Im thinking of buying the same pavers from HD. What is the color of the tiles that you bought? Any lessons learned that you would like to share of would uave done differently? Thanks
how are the pavers holding up and what part of the country are you located in I'm in the northeast so i get freeze-thaw heavy rain and major temp flauations
Wow, you guys done a good DIY job! Do you know high is gravel and sand that you have to put on top of the concrete slap before laying porcelain tile. I have a similar situation and I am not sure to remove the concrete and fill up 6 inches base gravel and than sand before laying tile. With this method, I can save some money for the concrete slab demolition. Any problem after 4 months of the installation?
Hey there! At the 3:30 mark you kinda see how much depth of under material was needed. It’s about 1 inch of material. Ours was mostly rock. Then a little sand on top. If we had to do it again, we’d maybe do all sand instead. It would have made the install a little easier. So you can wiggle them in place easier. So far it’s help up of great! The one issue we’ve had is when it’s cold out it does become an ice rink. We joke we should have had put in some sort of heating element, at least in the main walkways.
Hi. Thanks for the comment. We read the install instructions for our particular product and sand install is ok for light pedestrian traffic. Page 14. images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/c8/c8bebc02-98a8-4e72-b5e4-d47cb87bdc85.pdf
