Thank you, Jennifer! I talk to my (adult) daughter everyday. And the first thing she says is “Oh, hello!” And it’s in the cutest accent. 😍 I need to make her that door sign! Thank you!
Hi Jennifer - Great video and instruction. I'm new and I won my Cricut Explorer 2, so I don't think a 3 is in my near future, but I still love how you make everything and show us the way to beautiful things. I made my first sign (a Bible) verse last week and the finished product even impressed my hubby. I can now see all the wonderful things the cutting machines can do. Thanks for sharing and continued success. Love PegEgg
Yay! Congratulations on your new machine! We have a free series of online classes that show you how to set up and begin creating with your machine as a new Cricut owner! Here's the link to sign up: makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff and Good Luck on your porch sign✨!
I just purchased my Maker and they come out with the Maker 3!! NOW I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER ONE! Dang it! I am so excited for cutting without a mat! So jealous!
As always 👏👏👏. I'm so impressed with what can be done and how you work. Thank you Ms.J, I noticed you didn't mention the Cricut Joy. I just got mine and I can hardly wait to see what you will teach using it!
That's right, LaShawn, because Cricut didn't release a Joy 3! 😂 But, I do have an online workshop already that you might want to take a look at. It's for new owners of Cricut machines, and there are separate sections that talk just about the Joy! You can find out more information about it here: 😍 makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff/
Hi Jennifer! Thank you So much for all your tutorials! I’ve never made wood projects before so I’m really nervous to do something wrong! Did I see right that you sand everything after the paint is dry? Do you only do this for the rustic look? Just wondering if it takes off the paint. I was also wondering if you could use HTV instead of permanent vinyl and if so if you have to seal again for that. Thank you!!
Hey Jennifer I love all your videos, I also love how you stack your machines up, how you do that, what do you use, I have a really small area so that would perfect for my two machines
We designed and made them on our 3D printer. We plan to share the print files on our blog later this summer for anyone else who wants them. There are two styles -- the one on the left uses PVC pipes, so it’s height adjustable to your needs. The one on the right is all 3D printed except for the table, which is a piece of wood screwed to the legs. Both meet the requirements in Cricut’s Safety Instructions for “a flat and stable surface” as the Cricuts are just sitting on stable tables.
So does this mean the 12ft maximum length can be a proper design rather than repeated cuts all the way?! This is amazing! Can you use any vinyl roll or does it have to be smart vinyl to feed through the machine?
Yes, the maximum design length is 12 feet! Isn't that cool? The way I understand it now, Smart Vinyl is the recommended vinyl on a roll and no other. You may see me doing some experimenting with other kinds in the future, as long as it won't void my warranty! They are still so new that there are still questions about what works and what doesn't! 😍
I’m so sorry to bother you, I’m wondering if this is available to be sent to Sydney Australia if I go through the link for the cricut maker 3 as I would love to bye the bundle but it’s not available here , only sold as a unit . Loving the videos in lockdown can not wait to get creative.
I have heard Australia residents are having a hard time getting things. I'm sorry. You would need to contact Cricut and ask them about availability. Here is their contact info: help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020316674-Cricut-Contact-Information Good luck! 💕
Jennifer thanks SO much for all your helpful tips! I’m a newbie of 2 months with the Maker. One quick question: do you see any problem applying a 2nd coat of polyacrylic over the vinyl? Or simply unnecessary? Thanks!
@@JenniferMaker I made signs for my family for Christmas and the letters lift up in our cold winters (Eastern Canada). I never sealed them, so I think I'll seal them and see if that makes a difference. When I bring it back into the warm house the letters stick back down. Hoping the sealing will help.
Hi Oly! If you are using smart materials from Cricut you do not need to use a mat. Here is a blog post that might help: jennifermaker.com/cricut-explore-3-maker-3/
I have a question: cricut can be a little pricey for me as I’m a 13 year old addicted to cricut but the other day I bought an off brand off cricut mats called the paper studio. Have you ever used it before? Can you wash it?
Debbie, it does not but your Maker will only cut up to 23.5" long. Here is a better blog post for your machine: jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
Hi Jennifer! I have a question about the extra vinyl, since you do not have 12’’ inches width how will you use it again in the machine? Without a mat, I’m a bit confused :(
Love your videos ! But I noticed you only have one small felt project. would be great to see you do a 11 inch large 3D felt stuffed animal or something
So the Circuit Maker 3 and the Cricut Explore 3 has dropped already? I thought Late June 2021was the official Rolled Out date. I did hear we could Pre Order. Didn't give any details on how to Pre Order. Just wondering. Please let me know where I can purchase CM 3. Checked with JoAnnes, Hobby Lobby and WalMart, neither has these new models in stock. I just (today) found and subscribed to your channel. Loving it already. I need these instructions you're bringing today. Here watching and following from Carrollton Texas 🥰🙏
No, they haven't already dropped -- Cricut sent me two machines early to check out. Watch the new machines to appear online to purchase on June 10th, and then in stores on June 27th. :)
@@JenniferMaker ok I bought those iron on transfers that you used on your video that you put the white circle background on, is there any iron on transfers that don’t have that white back ground? When I use those on my print and cut it’s so hard to peel them off because it cuts every little line 🥺🥺 it’s so overwhelming
Hi Jennifer love your tutorials but I made a porch sign and I put the same sealant but my vinyl started peeling and it outside all the time please help!

Hello! I was wondering if I could make this sign horizontally instead of vertically? Also, can I make this on my explore air 2, as long as I individually cut the pieces and align it with the registration lines?
What makes the Cricut 3 different to,accept the smart vinyl? Is there a sensor or can you make it work on a maker or explorer 2? I know that the 2 feet is the max length. I rare cut very very long items. I’m just wondering if it is worth it. My explorer is older but my maker is new.
Jennifer, I hope you can help me. My sister in law wants a porch sign that says" welcome to our porch sit back and stay awhile. I have the Circuit maker but I have not used it yet. I had a cameo silhouette and I sold it to get the circuit. I have no idea what sizes to make the words. I need help!
I'm seriously considering purchasing the maker 3 when it launches but do you have any idea if it will cut over 24" with stencil vinyl? All I see is "smart materials" but I don't know if that includes stencil vinyl. I've searched everywhere and cannot find the answer to this question and I don't see any stencil vinyl in cricut's smart vinyl line.
It can cut up to 12' of smart vinyl. I use permanent vinyl for stencils because I like the way it seals to avoid bleeding and it can still be removed easily.
@@JenniferMaker Thanks! That's good to know. I am about to purchase my very first cricut machine and really want to learn more about it and the materials and tools that I should get. Do you think that the cricut maker 3 bundle is worth it?or should i just buy the materials and tools separately? 🤷♀️
I just purchased the maker thinking I could make larger signs like that! Oh no!!!!! purchased it because I thought I read it could but large designs without having to piece it together! 😞
Just got my Cricut and I tried to connect to my iPad and didn’t work , what do I do ): what app do you use? I’m so sad I wanna start projects like this one you show!
What I would suggest, Desirey, is taking a look at our free online workshop for new Cricut owners! I tell you about Design Space (the software we use to work with our Cricuts) and will help you with setting up your iPad and all sorts of other information that will get you crafting in no time!! You can find information about it here: 😍 makeracademy.com/cricutkickoff/
Hi Jennifer 👋 I paid the $19 for your e book but didn't get the download 😢. How do I receive it? Love your work and knowledge new to cricut as received a maker as a birthday present x
So sorry you're having trouble locating your book! No worries, we are HAPPY to help you find it! You should have received a download link in your email. After your purchase, in addition to there being a download link, you should have also received an email with the heading, “Your JenniferMaker Book is Here!” Sometimes this will go to your spam/junk folder, or if you paid using Paypal, it will be sent to that email address. I did not find an order under Kid Jayjay. I am not able to message you from here so please send them an email at hello@jennifermaker.com and one of our Maker Experience Experts would love to help you get this fixed. 💜
We designed and made them on our 3D printer, Daphnee! Aren't they cool? We plan to share the print files on our blog later this summer for anyone else who wants them. With vinyl, Kelsey, we have found that painting the wood first is the best idea! You want as smooth a surface as possible for the vinyl to "stick" and bare wood alone, even after sanding, doesn't give a great result. If you like the look of natural wood, I would suggest using your Cricut to cut a stencil and use it to paint on your sign, like I did in this tutorial: 😊 jennifermaker.com/vinyl-stencils-painted-wood-signs/
You could make a sign, Bonnie, however it couldn't be the same size! The maximum cutting width for a Joy is 4.5", and this design is wider than that! If a smaller sign would be ok with you, it's easy to do! Make sure the design you want is selected and go up to the "Size" bar on the top of your Design Space canvas (Windows). Keep it locked, and change the "W" to 4.5. The length will automatically change to 30.4". There you go! Smaller but still as cute! 😍
Sorry I ask a lot of question but your just so good at getting back to me in the comments section but when are you going to do the drawing for the giveaway

Hello I would like to use these exact designs on my maker but I’m not able to ungroup the letters so that they are able to cut individually. Do you have these designs available for the maker? I’ve watched the vertical sign video but these are the designs I would like to use if possible.
I designed these for the Explore 3 and Maker 3 when they first came out to show how you can use the smart vinyl. Since you already saw my other welcome sign, you could choose the square shape and then slice each letter out to be able to make this on the Maker. 😊
your always asking us to ask you for ideas. I want to make a reserved sign for a RV / motorhome but I can’t find any pictures on design space access for motorhome /RV , all there seem to be small V/W camper van. All want is a simple outline picture. thanks for any help
Jen I have a question that EVERYONE that owns any cricut machine has. How do you officially and permanently delete an upload image? Every single time I delete pictures it deletes, but it is still showing I have it when I go back into it within seconds. Being that you are familiar with all things Cricut maybe you can help us all out with this ongoing issue.
Hi Aisha, I'm not sure which device you're using Deign Space on, however on desktop you open your uploads and look on the bottom right hand corner of the image. There is a circle with an "i" in it. Click that and delete your image. Thanks for watching!😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker I have been trying to delete images for almost a year using my iPad, laptop, and even my android phone. Come to find out everyone I speak with are having the same exact issues using different devices. We click on the “I” delete pops up. We delete our image, it goes away but then we realize after closing out and going back in, the image we deleted appears again. Watch you’ll see I am right (try it) the image doesn’t actually delete. It’s time for me to try and contact Cricut customer service AGAIN. But thank you.

Yes, you can make this on the Joy. Cricut Joy Maximum Sizes: Matless cutting cuts one image up to 4.5 inches wide and 4 feet long or repeated cuts up to 20 feet long Small mat cutting area is 4.25 inches x 6.25 inches.
Of course you can but not with the smart material. Here is another way of making these with your Explore Air 2. jennifermaker.com/vertical-welcome-sign-porch/
Could you post the answer to my question on Facebook cricut mug press groups! There is a lot of discussion about after you use the cricut mug press with the infusable ink or sublimation you cannot put them in the dishwasher because the heat from the dishwasher fades the ink on the mugs. Can you please give us your answer to resolve this discussion. People are not wanting the mug press now because of people making these comments! Hope you receive this message!
Hi Kathy! I have not seen this in my own groups. If you have seen this in my groups, please pass along the links to those posts to my team at hello@jennifermaker.com and they will get them to me so I can take a look. ❣
The only reason I haven't made any of these is I don't know if you need to seal it again after the Vinyl has been put on the sign that is the only thing that I can't find anywhere? Can anyone please answer this for me? thank you.
@@JenniferMaker I guess I didn't ask my questions properly. I know if it is outside the board needs to be sealed you said so in your video. My questions is you showed only sealing it before you put the vinyl on. Does it need to be seal again after the vinyl is on the board to prevent anything damage to the vinyl?

@@nicklee1977 TheANdroid doesn't have the curve feature, but you can do it if you put some text in and tap Isolate Letters. Then tap Shapes, tap Circle, and size the circle to be about the size of the curve you want. Now move each letter so it's base lines up with the circle you made. As you work, you'll want to rotate the letters to match the curve of the circle. When you're done, delete the circle and select all of the letters and Attach or Weld them.
Yes, you can customize them. I have a course that will teach you how to do this. You can get on the waiting list if you like. 😊💜 jennifermakeracademy.com/design-to-shine/
