Programming MPP Solar PIP LV2424MSD Solar Inverter Charger. This DIY Portable Solar Generator is built on a hand cart using Bigbattery.com 24 Volt 100 amp hour batteries in parallel to power my off grid cabin with a portable design to be moved for small projects requiring power tools.

Great video. If the batteries are lead acid you only have "half" of the total wattage. I may be wrong.

ONE CUESTION CAN THE VOLTAGE IN AND OUT BE SET TO 240 VOLTS OR ONLY 120 VOLTS THANK YOU .

Couldn't tell from config demo if bms or charge controller was controlling low/high voltage cut-off. It should be charge controller. Bms should be secondary cut-off.

I've got a small 12v version of this MPP unit. I too set the LBCO a bit high, figuring battery cycle life needs to be conserved unless there's a clear and present need for full capacity. No doubt you're also considering a way to keep this baby over freezing when charging is needed in cold weather! BTW, Will Prouse at DIY Solar has a video showing how he configured a 12v model.

Good info. Liking these MPP's. A lot of people recommend a DC breaker between the batt and inverter, I guess the MPP has internal fuses for that.

Thanks for the video. I would caution that your float mode voltage setting is too high for LiFePo4 batteries. Battle born says no more than 27.2.

Very good point for LiFePo4 batteries. On this build I am running Lithium Ion Batteries from BigBattery.com rated for 29.4

Thanks for the informative tutorial. Would you know how much AC power the unit would allow in bypass mode? I bought one and just as we wait on the batteries I've been wondering if this unit would cap grid power to 2.4kw or if it could go over that in bypass mode

This unit I have is a non grid system. Off grid only inverter.
