0805 LED is less spacious, enamel coated wires are more easy to use. Well done on the Adruino. Better if you use a touch screen and make your own base with the app you use to control the led no need the BT connection. The function will all in the base

Hi, which LeD strip did you use? 30 IP30? Or 60 IP 65?
@alangadgets
@alangadgets 5 лет назад
If I'm reading it correctly, the first number is the number of LEDs per meter, and IP is the water resistant level. I chose the lower IP as I do not need it to be water resistant so to lower cost, and got the 144 LEDs per meter strip

Hi Alan, is this possible to pull off without owning an android? I don't mind if I need to put a physical switch on the base to control the led's
@alangadgets

absolutely! i actually had it in the Audurino code to use one of the input ports as a push button to replace the phone to cycle through the power-up and power-down mode. Or you can use flip switch to run a different mode.

Hi GadgetsAndToys, I tried to make the Apps using Android Studio, however, errors are coming continuously. First, I copied your codes to my own folder (For example, E:\Exia) and opened that project using "Open an existing Android Studio Project", and press "Run", but error occurred starting with "Error:Internal error: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException) com.google.wireless.android.sdk.stats.IntellijIndexingStats$Index". Could you please help me to solve this? Thanks!

awesome, wanna ask some knowledge, if i replace the led to normal 2pin led, possible? or must be using rgb led? i wish to apply this onto my mega unicorn.
@alangadgets
@alangadgets 4 года назад
thanks! I think there are 2pin RGB LED, but you can't set address and need to run a set of wires to each individually, I never used them so not sure about it. if you using fixed color 2pin LED, you won't be able to do changing colors like mine, and you won't need the Arduino to control the LEDs. hope it helps, please subscribe :)
@yiming007
@yiming007 4 года назад
My current setup initial plan was to use fixed colour LED, but to have arduino do the sequence of lighting up from foot to head. Something like the one at Diver City Tokyo. 😂 As the psychho-frame was pinkish red. I worry if use rgb. The color would still look same. 😅 Btw, if I don't want to use the Android app thingy. I can just remove that part and proceed with the switch right?
@alangadgets
@alangadgets 4 года назад
True, I'm planning on the PG Unicron too. I'll be modeling the red parts with transparent resin so that I could use RGB LEDs. But what you say can be done too, but you can't use my codes, and you need to get a port multiplexer as Arduino do not have that many ports to control many LEDs
@yiming007
@yiming007 4 года назад
where to add the switch to toggle the effect? in your schematic did not show the switch
