How to build a radiator setup for a Porsche 914 for ~$350
If you have $1K or a high demand motor and want a plug and play setup, I would consider www.renegadehybrids.com/
Wire Calculator

Celica radiator
www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...
Davies Craig products

Savvy buyer, AU ebay... Stretch your dollar... Note I used an EWP130 and it would easily flow enough for a proper v8 motor. You dont have to go with the EWP150, but its there..

Hey Andrew, thanks for posting this. Would this work for an LS engine? Or do you know of another radiator that would be better suited for a V8? Thanks again!

Thanks for posting this. Cooling systems for these cars always seem cobbled together. This will help people a lot in the future.

Andrew, Is it possible to run the radiator hoses through the longitudinal channels instead of underneath the car? Obviously there would need to be hose ports made in the frunk wall. I am doing a very similar conversion but with AC (compressor and hoses) for the hot Sacramento summers and a heater core located under the 914 dash.

Radiator lines are a bit hard because they are so big and the water flow doesn’t like sharp angles. You can do it but the long air boxes go through the cabin and up. For AC lines yes it makes sense to run them through the longs, many guys have done that, in fact the factory ran them over the longs on the passenger side.

Hello Andrew/Dan! I'm surprised you didn't go with a 90's VW Golf GTI radiator. Seems about the right size for a 914 application and is double row if you get the aftermarket one. Maybe you did. I'm currently doing a Boxster engine swap and looking into rad options. Thanks for all the tips!

The radiator you mention is about 5" shorter than the Toyota radiator. Dual pass does help though! There are some that have used it but I nor anyone else has had any issues with the Toyota one. It just fits the 914 trunk perfectly.

@@budgetoutlaws9978 Thanks! You're right. I'll go with the Celica GTS rad then. (me and my obsession of keepin'it german LOL)

I can only find the Gates green in 3' lengths. Is that all you're using?

Try calling your local parts store. O'Riley's carries it by the foot for me. Jegs has it as well but you have to call them to get the right length. I use about 7-8 foot sections. I would get 20 ft.
