Thanks for the "skip around and never finish anything" advice. I've found myself becoming wayyyyy to focused and productive as of late. If that would have kept up, I would have certainly finished something...

once in a while, we sit back and reflect on " what decisions led me to this place and time?" Its a Sunday and its cold out side. Not sure of the cosmic forces at play, but I do find myself watching, intrigued, and on some level satisfied with the 41 minutes I will never get back. Kudos, of all the time I waste, you did it again, It was worth it. Thanks.

Excellent job, Kyle. Without being able to flick back to the before condition of the floor it is easy to not realise exactly the magnitude of the transformation. Or Transfloormation in this case. That van has needed tons of work but when broken down into bite size chunks it all becomes more manageable. I've really enjoyed the van series and eagerly await the next episode. Mart.
@CarterAutoRestyling

Thanks Mart! Although most people won't have the misfortune of piecing a rusty van together, tackling things one piece at a time is a good way to get through any project.

I've been following you working on this old Chevy van, I feel that the floorboard job was much harder to do with all its intricate bends cuts curves etc etc than the rockers and fender lips that you did already. Another good one! Love that type of fabrication. You get a 9.5 out of 10 in my book on this. Two things I might have done differently, put the floor (reinforcing) beads up and maybe add an overhead brake peddle in there. I hate those master cylinders under the floor ( and batteries too).
@CarterAutoRestyling
@CarterAutoRestyling 2 года назад
If you put swing pedals on it the master cylinder would stick out the front of the van....good for servicability, but not the most attractive thing. The only other way would be to mount the master cylinder sideways under the dash and build a bellcrank to the pedal....did that on a 37 ford and the master cylinder was impossible to get to and had to be filled with a pump. As for the beads, they were indented from factory, I only had to replace part of the passenger floor pan so it was best to have both sides looking similar.
