I often air dry my hair that way....leave it combed (wide tooth) forward . I was taught years ago it's good to 'set' your hair a different direction than how u wear it so as to keep it fresh not dead looking.

Yes, you're right. me neither. I sometimes feel like these are just not real ways that'll actually work with all people. I mean we're not all good at this the way she is. Also, her hair is not that long and I have like almost the same amount of hair as her and I can't seem to ever be able to finish blow drying it like her in just 15 minutes, it takes me at least an hour.

This video is very beneficial for the women that don't want to go out and spend the money to get the hair done, as a licensed stylist I understand it can get pretty expensive after going every week. Next time though when you blowdry your hair on your own though hold the dryer at the nozzle, a spot on the nozzle where it will not burn your hand and you are comfortable, it will help you out alot you will have alot more movement for you to get alot more body, as well as prevent early carpal tunnel in your wrists. I hope this helps out a bit more when you blowdry. :) -Kay

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the tip on how to hold your blowdryer. I have carpal tunnel and it does hurt my hands and wrists to blow-dry my hair. I will try this the next tip I blowdry.

Hello from Soth Wales UK.......:))))) I used to have very thick curly hair wen I was younger then I had a breakdown , was agoraphobic and never went out for 12 yrs. my hair got thin and frizz replaced my once thick curls. It was down to my waste but dried, it was much shorter....now it is just thin. ... I can't do much to it really only get extentions again. I had the bonded ones for almost 10 yrs but hit a rough patch and had to take them out. .....It was awful, I felt bald........I loved the thickness and confidence the long thick extentions gave me . I love the way you take us step by step through everything.... its so helpful and thoughtful....... you have a kind Soul to do this for us......Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Bright Blessings to you and yours. xx

For the frizzy ladies I highly recommend Paul Mitchell Straight Works. You only need a little and it only works with heat but boy does it work. Liquid gold. I can get 3 to 5 days out of a blowout. I do It's A 10 leave in first, comb it through, let it air dry a little, then the straight works right before blow drying. Must use round brush for this.

I also have very thick, very coarse hair. Methods like the one shown in this video have never worked for me. I have so much hair (PLUS I wear it extra long) it takes me as long to pull my hair up into sections as it would to just blow it alone. Anyway what I do is section it half and half over my shoulders. Then I sort of lean forward and start blowing the hair that would normally rest on my back, blowing downward. I use a wide bristle brush with gaps in the back and flip the brush around as I blow down the hair so it gets it really straight and shiny almost comes out as if I had flat ironed it. After 15 years of messin with my hair I finally figured out what works for me. Sorry if this didn't make sense. Maybe I'll make my own how to video one day lol

Love this video, I am useless with a round brush and hairdryer but for my birthday last year I got the babyliss dual big hair (the round brush rotates for you while drying your hair and comes with a 39mm & a 50mm barrel so all I have to do is wrap my hair around and hold onto a button while it does all the work!! simple hahaha!! I do rough dry my hairdryer first though before using it) I would highly recommend it, I can now get fuller thicker 'just stepped out of a salon' looking hair :) Keep up the good work Sylvia and belated Happy Birthday :) x ps I use the kerastase elixir thanks to you recommending it, I love it !! but shall try to get hold of the other one once this bottle's finished :)

Any tips for curly hair?? I try to do blowouts all the time, and it seems every time I do lesser and lesser sections I always have the same problem. I have a really hard time getting the roots straight and not kinked, and I have a hard time with the back. The top layer of the back is always straight and then if I try to do a half-up kind of look you can see that the underneath layers are still wavy even though I blow dried it with a whole bunch of sections! I always end up having to flat iron everything which just makes my hair look flat and thin and I'd really love to be able to style my hair with just a blow dryer as I'm so tired with spending so much time getting ready for any type of outting, seems like I have to start getting ready a day ahead of time! haha

Thanks to you I have the hair color I've always wanted. It took some trial and error and took far less time than expected, but I got it. Shoutouts to my hair for being so thin and boring, that actually made it super easy. Fun fact: I experimented with different toners and recently tried an Ion one that turned my hair blue :D Luckily I buy demi-permanent so it washed out after a while. I got lots of questions haha. I am a makeup artist and I had lost all interest in hair because I suffered such bad breakage so now it ends up in a bun or pony tail almost 100%of the time. You are inspiring me to get my blow dryer out and dust it off. I am curios about one thing... how much product should we be using in our hair ??

the way you do your hair is beautiful. I don't know how to do anything with mine, it's thick and medium length I've no idea what style would suit me how can you tell?

New to the channel. Your tips have been awesome. I'm really struggling with getting the right color blonde. Over the past two years I've paid over 300$ dollars at salons and never truly got the color I desire. After having my daughter its appears colors just won't take..

I would love to see your hair not straightened in any way, but in its natural state! I have naturally curly hair myself, so that's why I ask :)

Excellent video! Finally someone with long hair who knows how to blowdry it themself. I never blowdry my hair with a brush but now that it's getting longer it takes forever to air dry. BTW are your layers disconnected? They look great!
