I think the charcoal and black, with the accent lights, makes the shed look new and contemporary. I can see why people are afraid of dark colors on outdoor structures, but it really sets it apart as something that's been updated and taken care of.
I feel like people get scared to use black because it's such a dark colour, but really it makes thing look so much more modern, makes plants POP more, and also adds SOOOO much more depth to things when used correctly. Good job. The black looks incredible and it DOES make it look like a new shed with all you did to it!
Looks so much nicer than before!! I typically wouldn't have gone with black but in your backyard I think it's fabulous!! With the colors of your back porch, it's perfect!! And once you do some gardening, the pops of color will really stand out!! Chef's kiss😘
I personally like the black Paint, but I would have the same concern about It making the shed get hotter. I live in a very Hot and Sunny area, but this might not be the case for you. It looks beautiful though
Watched and confirmed. You’ve done a fab job and you’re the best for not letting anyone make you feel bad for your own choices. This paint colour is gorgeous
I’m actually hoping to make a fresh one this summer for the deck! Will definitely share when I do. I did link to one in the description, if you’re interested.
Sam looks great as always. I remember cleaning out our flip house garage. Ya, he had a Dodge Truck radiator -> 1986 model for - some reason. Hooks - everywhere. Thumbtacks as if he had a museum. And my favorite part -> three way switches attached to extra switches to control the garage door's power -> because??? It was a wiring nightmare to rip all of that apart and yes he soldered the wires together. Nothing like exposed soldered wires on the walls. I am confused though - what happened to the snowblower and tile saw that were in there?
Thank you! I ended up storing the tile saw below the potting bench once I was done using it for my kitchen! And, I just put the snow blower back in there now that winter season is over and it is empty for the warm season. 😊
*I like the Color* . High contrast definitely has it's place in design, but, sometimes you just want things to fade into the background. My ranch style home has white vinyl siding with blue-stone on the front. I always hated the high contrast on the white garage door and shutters against the stone. When I painted them a color that coordinated with the stone, it totally transformed the look.
Absolutely GORGEOUS 😍 Now that's a huge difference to me and honestly shocked me people even disliked it Seriously shaking my head also personally if I was your neighbor and was gone for the weekend I would think you had bought a brand new storage shed YOU ROCK Stand proud you done a fantastic job 👍 👏 😀
Good morning DIY Huntress. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. What a transformation. Perfect choice of colors. It's incredible what you can accomplish in one weekend, when one is as talented and resourceful as you. 😎😍🌼
I have a project for my future shed that I wanted to see if and how it could be possible. This and another video I watched makes me so excited about bringing my ideas to the. I’ll be recording the process also, so be sure to check it out in a few months time or so.
LMAO! You sound just like me when it comes to bugs! Cave Bugs in my opinion are the worse! I don't know if you have ever seen one? Beautiful job! That's what I have to do is clean out my shed as well so, you have inspired me!
You are funny lol..."I'm gonna give you time to evict the premises"...I came across this video because I have a metal 20 x20 shed on my property that needs to be remodeled.
I don’t know how I missed this one. I never miss your videos. I don’t do dead bugs! Ewewewew, they wig me out. Live one’s I can deal with. I scoop them up and evict them, but dead ones…brrrr! Can’t stand them!
I always have my bug guy spray inside and outside my shed every month. And the only thing I see in my mine is a gecko that lives in there. But you better be careful with that spider, it’s a Black widow. And if you see a red dot on the belly it’s a mean female. Kill it!
I love the black. I really want to paint my house black. I feel like my neighbors might not like that tho which is weird black is classy and beautiful. I don’t have rules in paint colors tho so i can do whatever i want hehehehe rainbow for all i care 😂 (i live across the street on the bay of lake huron for context, my house is an old beach cabin converted into a home. The nice really upper class beach houses are across the street 😂) imagine a rainbow house now lmao theyd kill me!
What are those lights you installed on olthe outside? I have a shed but no electricity ran to it. Im looking for a way to have lights out there. This shed is absolutely beautiful!
@@diyhuntress I get it for sure, I live in Australia so I’m use to big scary spiders and snakes, we had a snake in our backyard that got into our cat enclosure and bit and killed our cat. We live in the suburbs we had just completed the enclosure, we then shut it down and our cats became inside cats again.
"Easy weekend project." LOL, easy for us, a ton of work for you, but I LOVE how it turned out. Great colors, love the solar lights, and way more functional ! Even the little wood ramp was genius as anything that needs to roll in or out will roll better now ! We haven't had the wettest of springs in the Northeast, but, never say never !! And, autumn has plenty of rain, too...
Cool 'glow up', and the colors were perfect. Curious about all those yellow-coated lag hooks I saw in the ceiling at the beginning, since they looked like they went all the way through (i.e., single-wall ceiling/roof?). Fiberglass resin patches up top, or some other repair?
Boy am I’m glad I waited to hit the off button on my tv remote to take my afternoon nap… I can’t wait to start bringing your channel and getting some great, easy ideas. Your bedroom wall they showed on the show is amazing. I’ve always loved real wood paneling, our living room fireplace wall was real wood “vintage” paneling original to the house that I left because I love it so much, but you’ve brought paneling to another level in that wall with the larger pieces in various sizes. It looks super simple to do and looks next level fabulous. I can’t wait to do it!
I don't really what the rest of the internet said. That looks so great and modern. People like to offer so many opinions but this is your house. You can do what you want. And what if it wasn't the right choice? It's just paint! It looks new and fresh...I just love it!
I think that color on the storage shed looks great! It really makes it 'pop'. I was freaking out that you didn't wear gloves; every time you said 'spider' I almost fainted 😱😁
It does look good, I like the black. Curious why you mentioned getting rid of the chairs and that planter thing. I have those same chairs and I'd find a place for the planter.
