Back in the day we used to have to pump the oil on to the bearings with a hydraulic type pump system ! I used to print on a huge 6 color hidelburg printing press built in the 30,s or 40,s and we had to hand pump the oil to all the bearings and it's still being used lol where there's a will there's a way to make it work !
Isn’t that a green nitrile o-ring on the piston? That would explain why the vacuum in the cylinder was maintained for so long. Ring gaps would’ve lost the pressure in a couple seconds.
for precidse parts you need machining tools, however it is possible to make an engine using your hands, it just won't be as powerfull and could have small leaks or other problems
Why not vertical like everyone does it? We want to contain 100 bar and you even have the wrong orientation on the main bearings? Going for a flat-2 in the end?? Those thin bolts may just rip off.
