5 minutes CAN be done but not on the first bag. The first bag you are finding and prepping fabric, watching instructions over and over to get measurements, and watching how it is sewn. Also ripping off handles after I sewed to wrong side of fabric. Grrrrrr. 2nd time, After you have fabric ready to go, you can whip up this baby in 5 minutes easy!! Thanks for this tutorial!
That sounds like me 😳sewing the handles on back to front, when it was face mask wearing during the pandemic, I did that 🤦♀️errrrr a couple of times when making them 🤔🤦♀️🤦♀️. I watch these tutorials a few times to get the hang (hopefully) of the instructions, then have a go. 👍Also I like the fact it is straight on with the instructions and not a long chat at the beginning, I usually give up on those, but this tutorial is 👍✔️
A) The video that shows you how to make it is 3.5 mins, which is a 1.5 minute bonus. B) you learn it’s lined in the video (and why you should watch it to see if you like it) C) it says “small tote” in the title. D) I hate dumb comments left by equally agitating people.
3.29 minutes for the video. But the creator has done these steps many times. When making work like this, the time to make per handbag gets fewer and fewer minutes to complete.
Im new to sewing and just finished this project. Im soo happy with it! For straps I used selfmade straps from the lining so the lining and the straps match 🤗. For the outer fabric I used canvas and the lining im not sure, some army green nonstretch fabric. Thank you so much for the videos, they are very very straight forward and clear in instruction. I basicly tapped pause inbetween all the steps. I dont like the "talking trough all the steps" videos anyways. Love from The Netherlands 😘
I'm a sewer of 50+ years of practice, not pro but dedicated amateur. I've made way more complicated bags than this. I still think it would take me about 20 minutes to make this though, not including cutting the fabric out accurately. Also, so much of getting any bah to look nice is to press as you go, which is not shown here at all. Looks fun though, I might make a few from scrap fabric as gift bags. Also a nice project for beginners.
This tote pattern is a winner. I thought mine was easy and fast. This one is much better. Plus, anyone who sews can think of different ways to make it different sizes and purses. Making it small without straps, a button and a loop can be put on top to make it a purse. Making is quite small, it can be a gift bag for jewelry, etc. The variety is endless. Thanks so much.
l have a little additional feature, I like to add a small pocket into the hole used to turn bag right side out. I use a baby sock as my pocket, it holds cash, key, or credit card. I also add a simple square flat pocket on the outside & inside. Thank you for great instructionals I have adopted this as a favorite ❤😊
It's a very cute bag! Cutting out the fabric and lining and straps took 20 minutes 😂. Maybe I'm just very slow, but I think you're saying that it takes only 5 minutes to boost confidence in your viewers. That's very kind of you, but from my perspective this is not necessary. I don't mind working an hour on one of your lovely projects. Greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿
It only took me about 5 minutes to sew! As with any job, the prep work is what takes the time. In this case, the measuring and cutting is the prep work….
@@solojuegos4381 Even if you call it 30 mins, its very professional looking. You could get a little production line going to make several at once as gifts for friends and family. get them all cut out, do each stage on all of them....finished in no time 😄
I don’t know what I appreciate most. . . That your finished products always look perfect and I can make it, that you show both inches and centimeters, that you have pleasant music accompaniment, or that you can fit such a brilliant project into 3-1/2 minutes. Thank you for your generosity.
LOL, me too. But excellent tutorial! I’m definitely saving this one for viewing again and again and again. I’m a novice so it’s gonna take me some time to nail this.
Hello, I love how you show us to make a tote bag in easy way! Would you tell me what size of fabric should I cut for bigger bag of 28cm in height and 23cm in width. Thank you!
I LOVE this!! I think I'm going to make the handles match the bag - it won't take much more time. I might also make the great bag into a crossbody bag. Can't to make this!!
I think the project is doable but not in 5 mins. She fast forwarded the video yet it took 3 1/2 mins. She also professional. This takes at least 30 mins.
Hello and thank you so much for your lovely bags🌺. I have a pice of fabric that is only 31 cm wide and not 32, can I use it? And shall I use only 45 cm for the length ? Thank you for your help.
I think you have 2 options: 1) make it as is and enjoy a different sized bag, or 2) sew some interesting contrasting fabric to make it the suggested size. Both ways should be nice.
@@AePooiM I try to make one last night and I just added an adjustment strap and it was sold right away. I have another order with a different colors. I really appreciate your help. 😀😀😀
Most of the materials I bought them from a local store in my country Thailand, which I'm not sure if it would be useful if I listed them down. Because these stores do not sell online.
There was certainly some folding around the bottom of the bag area, after she had drawn the lines with the pen. Then as she sewed the sides it presumably secured a fold in place.
