I've tried a handful of similar videos, all with nothing but failure. Tried yours AND STARTED CAR as you did the second time, and it worked ! You may need to actually start the car on the second key turning EXACTLY as he did in the video.

Watched 2 other videos which gave poor timing of what needed to be done and I couldn't get it to work, you have a much better explanation and execution of the instructions than the other 2 I saw, thanks!

End of first month in a 451 sharp red edition. The transmission had been jerky at first,then i click shifted a while,seemed OK. This morning, i accidentally skipt 1st, got the wrenchs,and the 3 death bars. I think i was luckily maybe, i tirn off the car,got out waited about two minutes, and it started....in neutral? Wrenches and bars were gone,and came home no problems. Could low transmission fluid cause this?

its so freaky hearing a gas engine start my smart is electric so its silent mine also has a maintenance msg but its just set to come on evey 12 months even when nothing is wrong however due to pandemic i hardly drive it for years so its on all the time grrrrrr...........

Mine came back on again after 1 second what does that mean

So annoying, tried this 100 times, won't work. After holding left button then switching on ignition, you can see the - 12 slightly blink after a few seconds, as if it's trying to reset, but won't 🤔

it won't work unless the door is closed.

The alarm goes off buy it’s self

Try this on my 2010 smart car did not work

Did an oil change. I have reset the oil maintenance light on my 2012 Smart Car low-end model without power windows. Has 45,000 miles. Has no wrenches now. Did it like this video and numerous posts show it. However, I don't see 10,000 miles pop up. I did have a TPMS showing a low tire. Driving down the road it was flashing on dash a TPMS and a -26 DAYS. I did the reset and filled the tires. The owner was running 30 in all four. Rear needs 36. The TPMS reset before even driving and the -26 DAYS was gone. However, the -26 DAYS comes on when you key on to start. Pushing the button on end of light stalk makes it go away and while driving it does not come back. Just ever restart. I as owner. He says when the dealer resets it says 30 DAYS with no - on it. He thinks and once it got to the month warning for oil change, it had counted down to 0 and now was up to -26 DAYS. Little confused have I not gone far enough in the reset. Any thought on this 26-DAYS display.
