Even though I couldn't understand a damn thing the guy was saying, that's still a great build tutorial to follow. I'm in the middle of building my own softbox lights, and I just might use your dimensions, minus the dimmer switch because who needs one? Physics baby, like I explained in an earlier post. Move that light back and forth. Just today I bought a soft white tinted orange bulb for my fill light softbox lamp, I couldn't find an electric blue LED bulb, so I bought one that just changes colors and figure I can set it to an approximation of electric blue. And I bought a bunch of LED light strips for my key light, which is going to be about 3 ft across shaped as a parabola, like a WOK with LEDs lining the top edge, maybe three rows, with the rest of it being coated with aluminum foil. I'll use aluminum baking tins, cut into 16 wedge-shaped Pizza kind of shaped pieces, that curve up from the point at the center up to the edge forming what would be basically a visualization of the planet Earth if it were sliced right off the top, and only the lower latitude below 30° were left over. A parabola! And if I'm not using it as a key light, I can use it as a death ray, by focusing the sun's rays onto a single point and melting iron into a puddle of lava! I'll just build that parabolic mirror myself from scratch. Then I'll line it with those LEDs and place a diffuser on top, and BAM! An extremely large, extremely bright key light that would rival anything that costs $500 or maybe even $1,000, without all of the geegaws that people slobber over so much, that drive up the prices of those name brand key lights, to the point where you're only paying for the name. Or you could do like I'm doing, and build one practically for free. Under five bucks, anyway, for the material, the LED strips were a little more expensive. About 50 bucks. But compared to $1,000, like one of those 120D $1,000 key lights, good God. What a waste of a thousand bucks.
