@@danjbenson87 First I would like to say Shade is very talented and did a great job. The only things I would do different is attaching the bottom plate of the Wall framing to the floor and wall attachment a little more secure.

You are 1 talented lady!! What an amazing job you did , great transformation. My husband is a kitchen fitter / cabinet maker so I like that I understood all the terminology :-) May I just add though, for anyone that wants / has the stacked method, repair engineers can refuse to work on the elevated appliance unless it's removed from the shelf beforehand. This set up is so astheticaly pleasing though, I LOVE it. Well done Shade. x

I did something similar for a customer a while ago. The only difference is I built it to the ceiling and added coving along the front to avoid that dust trap on top of the units. Ok it’s a little extra work but really does give that built in feeling.

You did an amazing job huni ,did you know you can buy a stacking kit for your washing machine and tumble dry and when they are stacked there is a shelf you can slide out to fold your washing on 😉👍😊💛

Stacking kits are expensive and you are limited to stackable washer/dryer models. This design solves both those problems.

Absolutely lovely job. You really did a nice finish. I would suggest, mirrors either side of the inside space next to the window. This will flood the light into the room and brighten it up. What's your thoughts?

Just a little tip. When removing a segment of timber, like you did with the skirting board, cut the it at an angle to the face so when you prise it off it doesn't jam against the remaining section.

Such an incredible transformation! Looks like a professional has had their hands on it 😍 my only niggle if it were my home is I’d want that central cupboard that contains that laundry products in to open towards the same side as my washing machine, so just flip the hinges around. Only a teeny tiny flaw as I’m such a perfectionist myself 😂 otherwise it’s stunning! X

Hey Shannon! I'm building my own cabinet to stack my washer/ drier - and came across your video which was a perfect jumping off point ! Well done and so well explained ! One question - did you consider having the washing machine just on the floor instead - I was going to just keep mine on the floor to save the vertical space and allow for more storage above as opposed to loosing 2 inches Thanks - just curious on the thought of keeping the base appliance on the floor - Eve

Build the cabinet boxes separately and then install them. You can work on the door for while they're on the workbench than in the room. You can do most of your painting needed there as well so you don't have to do all the bending and stretching painting in place.

Absolutely gorgeous. I only had one suggestion. If you wanted to save money, the plywood on the inside cabinet on the sides will never be seen. Attach the frame to the side cabinets for stability and it will be fine.
