Welcome!
In today's video I'm taking you through my process in transforming our oak staircase. We also replaced two of our light fixtures with simple black chandeliers (I'll reveal the kitchen light as part of our upcoming kitchen project).
I spent about $125 on the staircase makeover and around $400 overall including the new lights and cost to have them installed. This project was definitely a lot of work and took longer than I expected but was so SO worth it! We truly love how it turned out.
As I mentioned in the video, I am not a professional and urge you to do research before starting any sort of DIY project but...this totally worked. :) One thing I didn't mention in the video is that I chose to paint the stain on rather than applying and wiping it away. That's one of the reasons I allowed so much time between each coat. I wanted thick coverage and that's what I got.
I hope you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for stopping by!
