I wanted a standing desk, then I got caught ordering all of the parts off of Amazon. Now we have TWO standing desks. These things are pretty nice, they are electric and flat. The flat thing is probably the most important.

Maybe Steven can add your portrait to your desk!

I would be too distracted by that handsome face to get any work done.

Can you provide the link to the particular options you used for the desk? Feet, charging pad, etc

The desk is fancy but… I need to know what’s in the corner of the room- is that a time warp portal? or A vintage port a potty so you don’t have to leave the room during football season???

I was wondering why they had a phone booth in the house. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Antique port-a-potty. It’s more valuable since it hasn’t been pumped out since the mid 1700s.

Don't forget to drink that pickle beer for the fail on the power ;-) It works, but not the way you intended (nothing on the top). I cry foul. I've seen were some have routed the wood underneath thin enough that a standard puck will charge. Even seen one that did a epoxy inlay of a power symbol on the top so you know were it was. I work from home. My desk was made in the 90s from iron pipe sticks with T's and flanges for support. Birch cabinet plywood top with 1/2 x 2 inch hard banding on the edges. Stained.... I added ikea baskets for cables management and put a power stip on the bottom. Run two monitors (21 and 32 inch) on a post mount so I can set my second desk top PC under them and my laptop as well. Been working from home for about a decade now. Thinking of adding built ins for my office with pull down murphy bed or making some shelves and doing a standup desk similar to what you did (DIY style) with a nice top. I enjoy me desk being as big as it is... 3x5. I have plenty of "flare".

The epoxy inlay sounds pretty awesome, might have to give that a try. I was looking at a mount for the monitors but was worried about hanging the weight off of the back and making it too tippy. Might have to give that a try also. Extra points for extra flair!

Thanks, but... what is that telephone box in your living room? Is it a sauna, quiet room for screaming, or what? :-)

It’s where I transform from mild mannered reporter into Superman.
