Welcome Period Six Designs!
This is my little YT channel where I share my love of crafting with the world. Today I am showing you guys how to make some easy holiday themed Starbucks cups. I wanted to give you guys not only a plastic tumbler but a plastic tumbler using a coating system other than epoxy. So todays video features both Counter Culture DIY (CCDIY) and Crystalc Brite Tone as epoxy alternatives that are safe for plastic. Links to everything is below. Thank you for sharing this with us. I also hate using epoxy and have a hard time finding vids on non epoxy sealants. Some ppl don't really really invest time into showing how an item can look nice without epoxy bc it's not there thing. Thank you again. Def subscribed.

I got my "picker" at the dollar tree. Works just as well as the cricut one. Get several pieces I am using and they are so cheap and great. Love your videos!

Once you line up the circle in the snowflake, use the subtract tool to get rid of the design inside the circle

beautiful cup. with the brite tone being 8 oz, anyone know how many cups you can get out of that 8 oz bottle if using 8 or 9 coats? I know the layers are thin and not thick layers. Thank you

no i would have normally used clear spray sealer to prevent the glitter from moving but you dont have to

I have a question so I have been using brite tone and after a few coats, the cup is dry. Once I begin to use it on a daily and wash it I start to notice the brite tone becomes soft and it starts to chip off like nail polish. If it doesn’t chip off the water starts to seep in-between the cup and the brite tone. Do you experience this problem? What am I doing wrong?

hmmm i use and wash my cup daily and have not had that experience. are you soaking the cup in water? also did you "seal" the glitter meaning you came past the glitter and left a little bit of brite tone so no water is able to get under it?

because it was one dimensional where as the cold cup had multiple layers and mediums

not really sure i would put polycrylic on a cup...i know its not food safe and just in general is really best for surface coatings like tabletops and i dont think the texture of it would be complimentary to cups
