Uhhhm...this is a new world to me. I have been learning some one two things about embedded engineering and IoT. I wanted to make a steering wheel, pedals and a gear shifter. Saw this and I feel like am just lost. I feel like I have been reading the wrong books. Can someone help me get there. What resources do you recommend. I am doing Bsc. in Mechanical Engineering so I've dealt with tough concepts.

i have a problem... the wheel config isn't detecting any movement from the encoder... i'm using an encoder from hp... with another sort of sensor so i'm not sure where to connect....... the pedals go crazy in the wheel config but are detectable. the only thing working properly is the shifter.... please help...

I have already tested it on Euro truck simulator and it worked perfectly, also tried on rFactor2 but it didn't worked so I don't know which games I will be able to play, if any of you knows I'll appreciate it a lot. Why you connected encoder to digital pins? It must be on analog pins?

Hi. During attempting my own build i came to a trouble. In RFR i am not getting any axis response from encoder and Arduino itself is recognized as 4 axis 32 buttons joystick. Im using HPCB781-80006 encoder and, what is imo reason, Arduino Leonardo, which i found out probably is chinease clone. Aruduino itself works, after mapping Z-toggle to buton it works fine in RFR. Any recomendations? Should i get some Arduino drivers or change encoder to like f.e. CWZ6C or just first get OG Arduino. Great work and thanks in advance

hi, I have 400 ppr encoder. I am usingwheelconfig. if I turn wheel left one tour and wheel come to zero point, this zero point not a zero point. 5-10 degree slip my zeropoint. and when I turn left, wheel more force doing me than right side.

I've gotten everything to work including FFB, but now it has stopped working consistently and keeps showing that the wheel is connected with firmware version 0.0, but it can still detect wheel movement (this is only in the software, and games don't see any wheel movement). I didn't really understand the Z toggle, that might be my problem. Is there anything i should try?

Good day. The problem is that the steering wheel is not calibrated: (The rest of the steering wheel works fine, there are no problems.) Frankly, there are no more ideas, but I have not tried it. PWM + Dir and 20KHz, then the motor starts to spin at a high speed in one direction, and at the same time it does not react to pressing the calibration button at all. From time to time, after you reinstall everything 100500 times, it happens that the steering wheel reacts to the request to start calibration ... but at the same time just a short time turns in one direction ... and then freezes, issuing an error about that , that calibration failed (Calibration Error).It often happens that when you press the calibration button, the Device Status turns into the search mode some sort of index (Seaching index) ... and again nothing happens.The encoder is configured correctly, namely 900 degrees in the game = 2.5 turns of the rudder (also 900 degrees). In other words -> everything is set up perfectly! And again, again, while everything else works: the encoder, pedals, buttons, etc. You can tell me something, but my ideas have already ended. Hi there! I am going to be using a leonardo in a Logitech MOMO racing wheel. The wheel itself has a PCB that reads a white line on the shaft so it knows when the wheel is centered. How do I go about connecting this to the Arduino board? Do I hook it up to encoder Z pin? If not, how would the wheel calibrate itself? I'm using a motor with a built in encoder /the factory momo one/.
