My cousin made one and I just seemed like the perfect way to get rid of my memorable shirts without saying goodbye! Quarantine is the perfect time to do it. My last project before college!
you prolly dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf recently =)
Dang, this is such a good idea! I love blankets and have a lot of graphic tees that I don’t wear anymore but I don’t want to get rid of them because I had them for so long. Such a neat idea!
Hi, I had Natalia make a blanket for my daughter who lost her bestfriend recently to suicide. I must say she did an AWESOME job! My daughter LOVED it. Thank you so much, Natalia!! Have a very awesome new year!
I was just thinking this! The other videos on here didn't show the full process or made it too complicated. Hers was interesting and straight to the point.
There is an easier way to do the back part and border. It involves just one piece of fleece or whatever backing fabric you choose, and making it 1-2” bigger than the front (tv side) side. It involves cutting corners of the back piece and sewing them at an angle, placing front side on top of it, pinning, then sewing it over the edges of the front side to make a border. It looks very smooth. This method would make it so you don’t have to cut the border out separate than the back. It is less cutting, sewing, and time. It is VERY easy too. Look up “sewing fleece blanket with front border” and you will find a lot of good videos on it.
Going to have to get my sewing machine out and remember how to use it😂 have lots of my dads t shirts since he passed I can’t bring myself to get rid, so excited to make a blanket from them!xx
My mom made one for a friend out of her toddler's onesies and tops and it was so adorable!!! Great idea!!! Now you're making Taylor Swift dupes!!! Amazing journey 🤩
I have a lot of old band t shirts that either have gone through the ringer or don’t fit me anymore. It’s too hard to get rid of them so this idea is perfect! Thank you for this!
Did you permanent sew the batting to your big square of tshirts so that it wouldn't get all bunched up inside? I'm concerned that if I wash the blanket that the batting will get all bunched up inside.
Thank you 🌆🌌 I'm gonna make a t-shirt blanket! :D I've got some band/festival t-shirts that are now too big for me but I love them too much so this will be perfect 💜
Tried to follow this video to do a blanket. Got to the point of doing the borders, then it all went wrong. I did the the top, then the sides. But was not told to hold the top down before i did the did the the sides. Had to rip it out and do the sides again, this video is great but very vague. Had a hard time to figure out what side my backing should be placed on the blanket to sew. Finally figured it out.
I'm currently making a t-shirt blanket and I was wondering if you sewed down your batting in each of your rows because I fear that if I only sew the outsides like you did at 2:52, when I put the blanket in the wash the batting is going to bunch up on the inside. please help me!
Oh it's a very good idea ! I love it :) Thank you very much. All the t-shirts in my wardrobe will finally change their look and serve again :) Have a nice day
I really enjoyed your video. :) I'm trying to make a pillow case for my son that uses my dad's old shirt. He passed away last week and I thought it would be a good memory pillow case for him, like a throw pillow. Got any advice? I don't use a sewing machine, so I do everything by hand. :) thanks and awesome video.
For a single bed the squares measure ??e And how many squares are used? I was thinkin of getting some tshirts from kmart what sise tops to do think i should get
My daughter lost her best friend to suicide. She was able to get a lot of his tee shirts but they’re just sitting in a pile. Can I send you the tee shirts and you charge me ? I don’t need anything to big just something like a throw ...please let me know. You do beautiful work! 💕
What one of my friends did was take an old sheet and had tshirts on one side and the sheet on the other so she knew that it would fit the size of the bed
I am making a t-shirts blanket upon the request of my daughter-in-law. I cut the t shirts into 13”x13” squares including 1/2” seam allowance for all sides. She gave me 12 shirts, in this case, the final measurement of my blanket will be 3’ x 4’ . What I want to say is that you can determine any size of the blanket you want.
