Ive never installed an invisible zipper by basting it first! It’s ingenious!!

Wow, I did not know there was an invisible zipper foot or that you could iron the zipper to make it like that. I've always just been rolling the teeth out of the way & using a regular zipper foot. So happy I learned something new. Thank you for a very helpful tutorial!!

The invisible zipper foot is so helpful. It doesn't work on the side with piping, but I use it on the other side because it is so useful. I'm glad I was able to help.

*Hello Paige,* I know you have your own list of what you want to make and things you need, but you really inspired me with your haute couture dress. I have heard of making your own "capsule wardrobe" where everything fits with everything else, so you only need to make a few certain items to be able to wear anything together for any occasion, in a small range of colours, that all go together. I have no idea where to start, or, what to make. Is there any chance of you doing a series using this idea and making a stable, cost effective, selection of clothes, that all go together ? This Covid 19 epidemic has seen me loose my job, my husband at home for 5 months, and the savings depleted. Thankfully my husband is back to work, (so I am not at the point of strangling him for merely breathing anymore), but I am left economising, with lots of time on my hands, sanctions means I am not allowed to go anywhere, with little money to do things with anyway. This seems like the perfect time to get my sewing machine out and make stuff, so how about it ? Can you run with this idea or not ? If not, no problem, I just thought that other people might be in similar circumstances and you could help. Thanks for another lovely video.

I'm glad things have turned for the better for you and your family. It's been a challenging year for everyone, in one way or another. I think a capsule wardrobe is a great idea, but it is still very personal. I personally love wearing floral or print dresses. I could wear them everyday, year round. I know that would feel foreign to someone else. My t- shirt tutorial and skirt tutorials would be a major part of my capsule, so you may want to start there if it suits your style.

Hello, I'm new to sewing and I'm wondering what does baseded mean? Love your video and will be subscribing

Basting is a temporary stitch. You can do it by hand or on the machine with the longest stitch length.

If I want to put a brush fringe inside should I stitch a zipper first and then layer it up with a fringe?

I'm not sure what you mean.
