Great overview! Looks like a good piece of kit. If you rotate the miter the other direction so the point of the miter is against the fence, the flip stop should work. Great video work, the shallower depth of field was nice and colors looked better 👍
I have been looking for a better miter gauge, It looks like is is well made but I doubt I will get it. honestly for the money, having a drop in pin to hold the angle is ridiculous, it might be ok for a 30 dollar gauge but certainly not at the price point of this tool. I am sure that it works well, but I will loose that pin in the first 10 minutes in in the shop. what happens if It gets knocked around and the pin comes out without me knowing it, then I am on my hands and knees looking for the silly thing. dumb move.
no doubt! the pin is my biggest hang up with it. I have lost it several times and it's currently lost at the moment. I got the Incra 1000HD That I am about to do a review for once I get my shop back into working order

That plastic screw that holds the lens in place is your friend. If you broke it, you were seriously over-tightening it. It takes very little pressure to secure the lens. Had it been a steel screw, you most likely would have broken the lens attachment point.
