Hey guys. In this video i will show you how to make your own Tie dye Batik Shirt. This is really easy to make!!!! Shirt: h&m Dye: Deka Dark Green Music: State That You're In, Pizzicato from Sylvia, 帰路2 - Yoko Komatsu
How do you wash these kind of shirts? Will the dye paint my other clothes? How many machine washes will they last? Awesome video thank you for making it I've always wanted to make these kind of shirts
I used to do Batik artwork many years ago and it started with drizzling melted wax on the fabric before dying, so I'm wondering why you call this Batik? This is just basic tie dying.
We dont call it batiking it's been around for over 10 thousand years in Indonesia, India, and other countries it's awesome and fun its actually working with wax u prefer beeswax over paraffin which is toxic paraffin
Hi, great shirt,I've been doing this for years, it's addictive. I do have one question, where is the batik element ? Batik is using melted wax. It's still a good tutorial though. And the colour looks great. :)
problem I had was the dye ( Procion dye ) leeching out all over the white area , dying it as well . Question 2. - do you use soda ash ? I think thats what it's called thank you .
Hey good tuto looks great! i know it's a long time, but i wanted to do it myself with multiple colors. On the Dye it says to boil the water first and keep it hot all along. did you do that ? also, how much water did you use ? Hope you can help, thanks !
Of course you can use an other color :) If you want you can use different colors to dye one shirt. Maybe you wanna tie dye it first with a lighter blue color. Than dry it a litttle bit and tie dye it again with a darker blue dye. I think that could be also interesting :))
So where's the BATIK part of this video? Because your idea of batik is not mine. Here's mine, along with the rest of the world...A method of dyeing a fabric by which the parts of the fabric not intended to be dyed are covered with removable wax.
