DIY Tilt Tower and K4KIO HEX beam install

I hope those overhead power lines are farther from this antenna than they seem to be in the video.

I love the simplicity of this setup. I'm in a suburban area where I would like to raise and lower my antenna tower. Partly so I can test/try different antennas, and keep it down during periods where I am not using base station, which can go for a few months at a time due to work, etc. Is the irrigation pipe steel, or aluminum? Also, are the stubs sticking out leftover from being an irrigation pipe with water heads/sprinklers on there? Thanks again for sharing your great setup!! 7 3, Jim - K6XWX

You stopped videoing at the most interesting point. When using the tilt joint to erect the hexbeam. That was the most obvious highlight of any video. Raising the tower is fairly standard. I guess no thought went into the video. Which is a shame because, by the looks of it the home made tilt plate was the most interesting aspect.

Redo the video and show the tilt mechanism in action. We all know how to raise and lower a tower, mate.

Is that the u.s. flag laying on the ground??
