Depends in what condition the case is. If it's all messed up and the display is faulty it's the best way to reuse the mainboard of a decent laptop.

Sir,does the laptop detect the external monitor as its primary display after disconnecting the main display?i mean does thre boot process run on the monitor by it’s own? It'll be a great favour if u ensure this.

I think it does when you disconnect the lcd from the board. I did it with my Acer laptop and it works,

Hmm I have gateway nv53a laptop with everything mobo etc battery but I wanna make a chassis for it but idk what to use I used cardboard and it came out crappy hmm I dont really have a lot of money but thanks if u can help
