Omg my type of gal! Inexpensive fabric ✔ zip ties instead of boning ✔ mess up ✔ not give up and re do ✔ beautiful outcome ✔ I've been wanting to do a top like since 4 ever but with your tutorial, it looks easy enough to follow! ❤
Girl I’ve been struggling to start making a corset because it’s so confusing for the more traditional ones. This video made things 10x easier. thank you!! I’m about to start mine now 🙌🏻
If you don't have a pattern already I recommend McCalls 7915. It's a 1910s style corset, so it comes down lower past the hips, which is great for smoothing out the figure, and the shape is simple enough that it can be used for any era of costuming or just for modern wear. The instructions are also easy to follow. I made one from recycled jeans and it turned out amazing so I highly recommend it
@@lumpy_juice647 because of the nature of language and the history of this term, both words are correct! Also, damn! This was a very helpful how to make your own pattern video not to mention overall gorgeous.
This shade of green was MADE for your skin. you did a great job it was so straight forward and easy to follow! also thanks for showing the mistakes because it makes me more at ease when I inevitably mess up hahaha!
omg the gromet issue. lol. I've literally done the same thing because the way I teach myself to sew is just... doing it. And then you mess up and you're too proud to look up a tutorial. lol. This came out so pretty and it was so helpful watching you make yours before I make mine.
You are so talented and beautiful!! This is extremely easy to follow!! Ive been wanting to make one myself, but i just couldn't figure out the pattern.. Thank you so so much! You deserve way way wayyyyy more followers!!! Xx
girlll you absolutely killed this! the fabric is gorgeous n green is definitely your colour! the craftsmanship is amazing and i love how simple the pattern n instructions are :) just subscribed, keep it up girlie! might have to make one now...
The video title: *is there * No one: Absolute silence: Me an uninvited history buff: actually that shape is closer to stays which precedes corsets but that's neither here nor there
Love this! One of the easiest corset top DIY i've ever seen! It's so beautiful! Please continue making diy, this helps me a lot! Love from Philippines!♡
has anyone with a fuller bust tried this tutorial? do you have to make any extra adjustments? Edit : I did try this and it went well for someone with a fuller bust size. I suggest using a stiffer fabric so it doesn’t collapse as easily though (or use interfacing for the shell fabric)
I was wondering if I needed to put like curved princess seams on the front I’m not huge but I defs have some chest. Did it squish too much just making it flat?
This was massively helpful as you were the first video to explain how to draft it from scratch, instead of giving me a pattern to print or telling me to copy from an existing garment I own. I much prefer hand drafting, I find it so much fun. Thanks for this :)
This was so helpful omg I’ve been struggling to make a corset for a while and you made it look so easy! It looks stunning too 💚 I’m definitely going to try again! Tyyyyy ✨✨✨
YASSSS THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TUT BUT I COULDN'T SEEM TO FIND ONE THAT I UNDERSTOOD PROPERLY SO THIS VIDEO WAS A HUGE HELP.....THANK YOU🤍xoxo
It's the showing your whole process and not editing out the mistakes to show flawlessness takes time for me.👏🏾💗 Thank you for this video!!! I think I'll stop hoarding fabric and take the plunge into sewing more now ☺ Sb: we stan an Amazon/thrifty-Queen 🔥
the way u presented this tutorial is making me feel like i could do this 🧐 ur really giving me the audacity to make a whole corset... so brb gonna go to the fabric store
I've been looking everywhere for a tutorial for a corset top and none of them have been this in depth. Going to try to recreate this tomorrow! Thank you for the video!!
Brianna knows it all is exactly me, lolz, I always think I know what I'm doing and then I mess up, so relatable. Really loved this video! It's so nice and seems so easy when you do it! Definitely wanna try it. I'd probably mess up anyway, hehe. Thanks for the amazing video!
Omg this is so helpful!! Thanks for this beautiful video. My first corset top I made yesterday looks awful but I will try again today following your steps.
