@@user-te4jh8qh9p thank you! Most of them are universal (for aftermarket seats)but sometimes you’ll need to plan how to raise or lower them if you get the cheap ones. I used a few oversized nuts back in the day. The con is that you’ll have less threads holding your seat. You can also buy longer bolts to correct that issue. Universal brackets should fit universal seats (most of them, anyway)
There is an ac condensate drain on the drivers side behind the dash that is prone to leaking into the car and soaking the interior. The reason it does this is because the seal around the tube which goes through the firewall breaks down due to age and the condensate water then gets blown back and travels down the outside of the tube back into the car. You need to find the exit of the tube under the hood and remove the crumbling seal and inject RTV/silicone around the outside of the tube to seal the tube in the firewall . problem solved , no more soaked carpets that get moldy and stink!
Roban Bieber yup! I check out that area and worked in it with metal wires, air, water, alcohol, you name it! But the smell lingered on the carpet afterwards, unfortunately. But on a good note, I bought KFC with the funny change i found! Not only that but I found a BUNCH of the previous owners’ crap that got stuck in the carpets lol. It was. Extremely. Nasty.
@@GTCharlie Did this end up being the reason for your leak? I JUST bought a 2003 Mitsubishi Spyder GTS. There are two tings I noticed needing immediate attention. This was the first one. The drivers side had a huge puddle of water. After not using the AC for a couple of days it dried right up.

God luck getting that part replaced I did the same thing to mine and still cant find an extra non broken part from the junkyard. when you were like alright let’s just take this part out here I wanted to scream at you through the phone to tell you don’t!
Hey man! Anytime you do electrical, its a good idea to disconnect the battery. There could be many user faults from rewiring those seats if left on. Good luck on your project!
