This is a DIY TV remote controller holder to tidy up your remote controls. Nice design, very light and uses minimal filament (as long as it doesn't mess up or fail). Can also be used as a desk tidy for your office. This is an intricate print, failed several times, from lifting from the print bed, to the print head catching filament blobs and knocking over the half printed Hexagons leaving gaping holds in the sides. I tried adding glue to stop the base lifting, I tried turning off the fan for the first few layers, these all failed, but adding a Brim worked at keeping the print on the print bed. The first successfully finished iteration was Silk PLA and it was extremely brittle (see the start of the video). The second print that finished was PETG but has a lot of stinging and blobs. The 3rd print was done with the PETG in a SUNLU S2 dryer while printing, had some issues with filament tangling in the filament dryer.
I am also testing out EIBOS Easydry filament dryer, it drys better and if your filament fits inside its better for drying while printing, but I had issues with Prusament reels being too wide for the EIBOS. It also feels a little bit more flimsy and I am not sure I would leave it on while I am not there.
Overall this was a challenging print and all versions had issues, and I would probably not do it again, certainly not with PLA.
Tried Amazon Eono White Silk PLA & Prusa Jet Black PETG. Both without and with drying. Best print was the Prusa Jet Black with dying while printing.
