This modern design looks amazing! I love the stain color and the legs. The only thing I would do differently is plug the holes where the bolts are

Thanks for sharing this project - I enjoyed looking at it and will be inspired for my own project. Very good end result. My opinion about this is purely subjective to my taste. I would prefer less rustic, like wholes in top I would cover. Color I would make more light, and the tops a bit thinner. Thanks

Fabtastic design style and good actually some details of the steps. Currently looking for ideas on doing my mine as total beginner to more refined things (a basic workshop racking or shed tyoe things ok-ish... solid but not pretty) and with rather limited tools & skill so no fancy joints. Im not to keen on the large open bolt holes so what options would be good to look at? Thanks

Hi Greg, nice build. My biggest frustration with tv units is that cable management is never taken into consideration, so I would add a multi-plug to the rear, and leave space so cables can be hidden. Where did you source the rubber wood? Is it a hard wood? Did you laminate it yourself or was it purchased like that? Keep up the good work!

As a total beginner who knows next to nothing and at stage of looking for ideas.... what's conditioning the wood mean?
@user-gk3lu1gg9t
@user-gk3lu1gg9t 8 месяцев назад
@@subhumanrogueminiaturesfor2538 Some types of wood, the soft and porous types, have a different wood density which causes the wood to absorb stain inconsistently. Some areas may absorb a lot of stain while others absorb very little. Because of this, the finished stained board may appear blotchy, not giving you a smooth, even finish. A wood conditioner helps even out the application of the stain by filling in the pores of the wood to help prevent the stain from absorbing in some areas.
