𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬! 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞:
I got to use my favorite power tools once again to build this incredible tv stand for family friends of ours who mean so much to us!
I had all the tools and others needed already in my shop so all I had to do was buy the wood and get to work! I surprised them with this being a gift and not something they were going to pay me to make because they are so deserving and because I love to do these kind of things, so it was fun!
𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐝:
Tools:
Miter Saw, Kreg Jig, Cordless Drill, Tape Measure, Belt Sander,
Wood:
9 x 2x4x8 boards
3 x 2x6x8 boards
Other:
Wood Glue, Stain, Gloves, Old Rag/Sock, Marking Tool
𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
These can be modified to fit your desired length, width and height! These are just what I used!
2x4 boards:
-Upright legs: 28” cut 6 times
-Long side brace for legs: 37” cut 8 times
-Small brace front to back for base: 10.5” cut 6 times
-Middle shelf boards: 80” cut 3 times
2x6 boards:
-Top: 86” cut 3 times

@ThisFaithfulHome

Anastashia Walker thank you! And yes you can build one just like that without pocket holes. You would just screw the boards into each other from the side. There are a few spots that may be harder to get to than others without a pocket hole but it’s doable!

Alec Jackson I believe I used the 2 inch screws that came with my pocket hole tool kit. But if you don’t drill pocket holes and just drill from the outside, I would say use 2 1/2 inch since it has to travel farther than the sunk in pocket screws

@ThisFaithfulHome
@ThisFaithfulHome 4 года назад
Alec Jackson I understand that it can seem intimidating to build! But you can always ask your local hardware store to cut the wood if you need, or use longer screws to bind the boards together and have them show instead of using the pocket hole drill! Here’s the dimensions below for you as a reference that you can modify. This measures about 84” long which would work for your tv size! 2x4 boards: -Upright legs: 28” cut 6 times -Long side brace for legs: 37” cut 8 times -Small brace front to back for base: 10.5” cut 6 times -Middle shelf boards: 80” cut 3 times 2x6 boards: -Top: 86” cut 3 times

Thank you so much ill send a picture if allowed when its done would it be ok to build it from pallets i dont have much money
@ThisFaithfulHome
@ThisFaithfulHome 3 года назад
@@valerietaylor9126 I would love to see a finished product! I will say you want to be careful with pallets making sure they aren’t rotting and you will need to spend extra time sanding them to make them really safe indoors. I would suggest spending the money you can on 2x4 for at least the legs and frame. And if you need to save money somewhere and you are using pallets, use them for the top and shelf and piece them together! Over all I spent under $100 on this project including the stain which I know may still be out of your price range but you want to build something sturdy that will last, so investing in the 2x4 from the beginning will assure that!!

How much did this cost to miaow but including the tools, definitely going to try to make this I just made my first project with my grandpa it was a plant stand and moved his help this I would be doing alone since he drove back home but bought me a saw I would really love to make this for us instead of buying one
@ThisFaithfulHome
@ThisFaithfulHome 4 года назад
Shaylyn fourre I believe it was around $100 in supplies, not including the tools. If you already have a saw, drill and tape measure you can make this without the pocket hole tool with some modifications.
@ThisFaithfulHome
@ThisFaithfulHome 4 года назад
Shaylyn fourre you can always check with your local hardware store and see about renting tools if you don’t own them! Not sure if they do that in your area or not but worth a shot to ask!
