Nice work! Great to see you getting your helpers involved. I'm glad to see you don't need to be a pro to lay stuff like this down. You've got fantastic production values. I've been watching a bunch of your videos and I'm impressed with the last six months of content. Keep it up, it's very informative, inspiring stuff.

That flooring looks great! I’m contemplating using that in an outdoor shed. Seems to be a great resilient option.

Yea couldn’t be happier with it, think it would be great for a shed. I’d call them so ask if you would want the trailer grade or if the garage grade would work. Both are anti expansion / contraction but the trailer grade is more so

Too funny! I just saw this video today, 6 weeks after I installed mine. We did it almost verbatim, even down to the trim and tools. So, we both did it right! The only difference I had was applying the adhesive with a 3/8" nap roller. The manufacturer recommended either way, and I can say that it looks great!

That flooring looks great! Very sleek with the silver trim. Would this flooring be good in my basement? It’s a little damp?

Thanks! I really like it as well! It’s definitely a product that can be used in a basement. The company is really helpful. You might want to go to their website bltllc.com and shoot them an email or a phone call as they’re going to know better than I will on the dampness item.

I just purchased a new 6' x 12' enclosed trailer to haul my quad and gear. It came with an upgrade of plywood walls and floor and I began searching RU-vid for floor coverings. I found your video to be one of the best! I really appreciate all the details you added. I found a good price on a 8.5' x 22' roll from Home Depot and will do the install soon. I've already painted all the walls with 2 coats of "silver bullet" (trailer is silver to match my truck ; ) and it looks really nice. I'm getting the rest of the gear together and was wondering what length of screws you used for the trim? I'm thinking 1" is plenty long enough to get through the aluminum trim and flooring and into the plywood. Thanks again! 👍
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 2 месяца назад
Oh sounds awesome! Always fun to build out a new trailer! For the trim I believe I did 3/4in screws on the pull down and 1in inside, I still love the flooring, after my crew used it 7 days a week Oct-Feb it still looks new 👍 (after taking a swiffer wetjet to it lol)

Looks great, I will be doing this for my newly acquired 7x12 motorcycle trailer. What scews did you use for the aluminum trim in the trailer and on the ramp? Did you just screw into the wood floor or did you try to get into the metal frame?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 8 месяцев назад
I use stainless steel screws with very flatheads that way if it gets exposed to liquids it’s not gonna be an issue I used 1 inch so only going through the trim into the wood no need to go into the metal frame

Looks fantastic!! How is the floor holding up as far as durability? I DO REMODELING work and I'm a little concerned with any rips from tools that scrap. I haven't decided to do this or epoxy yet. Also, those LED LIGHTS WOW! where did you get those?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 4 месяца назад
Have a few videos on the trailer build including the lights so check them out 👍 it’s PERFECT still. I just finished up my Christmas light season so my guys were using the trailer seven days a week for four months, the main walking area was pretty dirty and I just mopped it with a wet swiffer and it looks brand new again I haven’t had any tears gouges or anything, and I’ve been throwing lots of plywood in lately, which then scrapes along the floor as we put it in and take it out I had wondered about it thinking maybe I needed to put something else down right there for the plywood but it’s holding up without any issues, A+ product

Definitely more steps than epoxy.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 7 часов назад
Yes definitely however I did my previous trailer with one of the rock sold epoxy kits (don’t recommend that brand) the wood soaked it up during the drying process and so the result was thin and it ended up cracking and peeling after a year. If doing it again I would do multiple coats

I’m planning to convert an E-series CargoMate 8x16 V-nose to a combo 2 room restroom & equipment trailer for Cowlitz County WA Search & Rescue. This requires 2 walls (2 RV doors RF side), plumbing, wiring, & cabinetry. Adding insulation etc behind side & cross walls - would you still do flooring after sidewalls, or before anything else, the very first item in?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 4 месяца назад
I think I would do it after the sidewalls just like you would doing a typical construction home. It will also make it a lot easier to handle the material because it’s gonna be cut into smaller pieces and based on ordering from G floor you might be able to put it into Two smaller boxes etc. that make the shipping cheaper. One large ultra heavy roll. Can be a lot more expensive to ship.

Great video, although It looked like you trimmed the whole rear door and did not install the flap section, maybe you changed your mind.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 2 месяца назад
I did trim it all the way but then when I installed it, oomph the weight. Decided since I don’t bring vehicles etc into the trailer I would leave that back flap off and save myself some gas!
@stubby1122

Looks great. Was the underside of the trailer undercoated? I mean the bottom side of the wood floor from underneath. I'm surprised that most trailer manufacturers don't. I suppose it increases their sales when the wood floors rot from the bottom up.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 8 месяцев назад
Yes it was undercoated, I spent more on the aluminum with all the perks. Just like in woodworking if you seal one side but not another it can cause bowing. So same here since we’re sealing the top with the flooring it’s best if the undercoat is on
@stubby1122

@@BitnerBuilt Good to hear. I see a lot of people put a lot of money into the inside of a trailer and never think about one of the primary destroyers of trailers.
@rickwilson3867
@rickwilson3867 7 месяцев назад
Was the temperature during application specified by the manufacturer? I think I saw "G-Floor glue" also...is that correct? How much was required for your project? Trailer size 7 X 16? Great job!
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 7 месяцев назад
Hi Rick yes they specified the temp I used their glue for the application. The provided a big 5gal bucket for me that was wayyy too much for the 7x16ft trailer I’d say 2.5-3 gal did the job
@BadassBiker670
@BadassBiker670 2 месяца назад
what size aluminum trim did you use, I know you mentioned 3/4", I am seeing several thickness on HomeDepot. 1/20", 1/16", and 1/8", which one?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 2 месяца назад
I believe 1/16 but I did buy a 1/8 piece for for the transition from the door to the trailer (gets hit a lot by wheeled items) I actually purchased mostly from a local metal supply, was cheaper than HD
@jjuni01
@jjuni01 5 месяцев назад
Great Video. Where did you get the trim pieces?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 5 месяцев назад
Thanks! You can buy them at Home Depot or Lowe’s, but it is cheaper if you find a local metal supply store, which is where I went and bought them
@rickwilson3867
@rickwilson3867 7 месяцев назад
Is there an alternative glue that you would recommend?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 7 месяцев назад
Hi Rick, I used their glue so I can’t really speak to any other as I haven’t used it.
@gabrielluckey8968
@gabrielluckey8968 9 месяцев назад
is there any concern with trapping moisture?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 9 месяцев назад
If the floor is placed down with without adhesive, there would be. But when you’re using the glue, and then the roller, Your permanently bonding and creating that glue layer that’s not going to allow any moisture
@seanmasse4002
@seanmasse4002 23 дня назад
How much adhesive did you need for the whole job?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 23 дня назад
That’s a tough one. They sent me a 5 gallon and a 1 gallon if I had to guess I probably used 3 gallons and that includes doing the rear door.
