I made mine from cocktail sticks with the handle made from plastic cotton bud sticks and I keep one at each operating station. They work the same but no chance of poking myself in the belly if I bend over. Stay safe Ben, David.
Oh that would hurt! I used to always put them on my ear, but they would always fall off. I remeber an article of someone making them out of mcdonalds coffee stir sticks, but I can't remember where I saw that.
Creative Rails yep I tuck it between my ear and glasses so it stays in place but then I usually forget it’s there and end up leaving the train room and forget to bring it back down. I should just buy a pack of skewers and place them all over the darn room. Hahahaha

Hey Bennie. Did you file a flat spot on the pointed end of the Skewer? The flat side gripes the side of the Coupiler easier. Also great idea from using Layards from the Dollar Store.
