Hey,I tried them and they were amazing but I made them a little bit shorter my mom saw them and she said from were you buy these amazing shorts I said i made them out of jeans she replied back and said wait a minute I'm going to bring my jeans to make for her and yep here I am making for her but it took me forever to make them, thnx very much

If you don't want your jeans to rip off like hers then distress them before you bleach them and they're dry. That way the fabric is thicker ( because bleach thina out fabrics) and it will not be wet so it will be much comfortable to manage them :) // Si no quieres que tus jeans/shorts se rompan como los de ella entonces córtalos y destrózalos antes de desteñirlo y estén secos. Así la tela estará más gruesa (porque el cloro adelgaza la tela) y no esta mojada así será más fácil manejarlos :) espero que les ayude :0

This is a great tutorial! I love that you showed your 'oops'. I'd also suggest washing these jean shorts separately the first few washes. I need to make some of these for my daughter.

A good way to fix up the rip if you happen to make one by accident is to use safety pins! They add a really awesome look and keeps the shorties from exposing your goodies!

If you rinse in vinegar water after bleaching the destruction process will stop and your fabric wont be as delicate and apt to rip when your distressing them. My daughter taught me that. Awesome shorts btw!

@Chelsea Hansen: acrylic paint won't come out in the wash so you could probably sponge white paint instead of bleach. It might take a little longer and would probably get messy when you distress the bottom of the shorts though...

Really good idea and a great way of making use of old jeans. My jeans normally fray at the bottom of the legs and the rest of them are ok. I have quite a few pairs. By the way you do make this look easier than it really is. The bleaching is a pretty neat idea though and I would never have thought of that.

it really depends on the color and style your going for but remember that they will be lighter once they are dry so don't have to wait until they are totally white, if your dyeing them anyways you can usually get away with using light blue denim C: hope this helped I'm hopefully going to start making D.I.Y videos soon!

antes de lavarlos los as roto y despues an quedado de otra manera eso es por que se an salido los hilos al lavarlos? Por cierto comose llama el material con lo que as roto los pantalones ?
