You can add a higher ratio of the dish soap, but add some vinegar to raise the pH, to keep it from sudsing too much.

Good idea, just wanted to ask, does the liquid soap not leave a residue?

I'be been using a similar mixture for years. I do about half isopropyl alcohol, half distilled water and a dash of dish soap. Beats any glass cleaner by a mile. I like the higher alcohol percentage, Because it makes the liquid dry off really fast.I use it on glass, mirrors and most surfaces. Anything but the sinks and bathtub, basically, since those need an acidic cleaner. I use distilled water, with a couple dashes all purpose cleaner and citric acid powder for that. Don't have exact measurements, I'm afraid, I just eyeball the amounts. But you don't need all that much (and you can always add more, later). 1 bottle of cleaner lasts me a year, easily, that way. I will try your mixture in my car seats,though! They could do with a cleaning 😅

Thank you for this recipe! I have a recipe for "DIY Soap Scum Remover", 16 0z (2cups) warm water, 2 Tbsp rubbing alcohol, 2 Tbsp washing soda. Put in spray bottle & shake to mix. Spray bathtub, let set 15 seconds, wash with Magic Eraser.

Can I use this cleaner in my bissell little green machine ?

My sister uses dish soap, vinegar and water as a general purpose household cleaner. I find it useless. The actual main ingredient in that one is massive amounts of elbow grease! It absolutely does not budge soap scum from anything. Now I'm curious to know if this mix will tackle soap scum in the shower.
