Having your solar cables enter the van through the brake light housing is brilliant! I am in the middle of my build and needed to figure out an entry method. Looks like I will do the same, thank you for the idea!
Yes, I’ve seen some go in the side of the housing but their is a lot of structural plastic that would need cut out. Going in the top had plenty of clearance! Good luck!
This is the best episode yet!! I like how you bring in people who know what they're doing to help out. Is that the same Pappy that is Tik Tok famous? I sure looks like him. That guys rocks. Those RustOmod builds look insanely cool. Need to see more of those...
Yo! BigLogan!!! Picked up that Torva faucet last week and installed. The ole lady loves it and so do I. Thanks for the recommendation and I also used your link so hopefully you get a little piece of cheddar from the sale. Keep up the great work buddy!
Hay BigLogan, in the video at the end you show the renogy Charge controler, under it you show to the left 80amp breaker that comes from the Alternator and far right a 70amp breaker to the battery bank, BUT what is the center 60amp breaker for or going? Second question, you have what looks like a fuse (its yellow up by the grounds bar) coming from battery bank ground or is that something to do with the charging monitor? Sorry for newbie question. I have almost everything and am going to try this in a transit. You do a great job explaining everything Thanks!
Near the battery is a monitoring shunt (gold) I currently use VictronConnect Smart Shunt and its Bluetooth, way better option. The 60 amp was an afterthought for disconnecting the solar positive lead. Good way to isolate during maintenance/replacement of either charger or panels
Hey Logan! Your work, vibe and music choices are all amazing - I'm super happy I found this channel! One question for you... Can you link or share the details for the cables that you used for pre-wiring? Specifically the white ones that were used for all the AC components? (Although I wouldn't complain if you specified the DC cables too! :) )
