Hi!! :). How do you create the saltwash? Is it just salt in a cup that you blend with the chalk paint? Thank you in advance!! I just loovvveee your beautiful work :)
I would love to see some wall treatments, decorations, etc. I haven't been able to watch some of your videos, so, please, excuse me, if I haven't seen a video about this. I will get to watching all of your videos, someday.
I just can't thank you enough, for sharing your wonderful talent with us. You teach me something, in each video, that just amazes me. Your painting technique will come in handy with the projects that I want to do. That jewelry armoire is gorgeous. It looks like it is very old. The vases are gorgeous, too.
You are my go-to girl. I love that you talk without hesitating after every word, that you don't exaggerate too much energy, that you talk softly, that you don't hurry, that you don't speed up the film so I can't see what the heck you are doing, in short, you are my go to girl. I love that second cup of coffee with you. Thank you for teaching and doing it in such a phenomenal way.
if you will add glue with p. o. p that will make it much stronger as plaster breaks very easily and if you want your plaster not to dry fast add in vinegar or lemon this way you can slow down the drying process btw the old look on vases looked amazing
Oh Christina! Thank you so much for all these beautiful vase ideas! I love! I already have to go get some at the local used items store! I always look forward to your Saturday tutorials, I love to see you and listen to you! :D
Hi Katarzyna!! Thank so much for the kind words!!! I am so happy to hear that you eny your Saturday with my video!! ❤️ Thank you so much for supporting my channel!! ❤️🎨🙏
I loved everything about this tutorial! Everything turned out amazing. I so much enjoy your home decor makeovers. The third vase you did has a petrified wood look. Just gorgeous. Thanks for always making my Saturdays so inspirational. Stay well. 🙏
Hi Nadine!! So happy to hear you enjoyed this weeks video! You are right it does look like petrified wood! I really enjoyed how these techniques turned out to give these glass vases a ancient look!! ❤️🙏🎨
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom Absolutely beautiful work! You've given me the nerve to try this myself. This is something my sweet mother would have done, an adventurous heart! Thank you and God bless! Miss Nova
Perfection. Look forward to Saturday mornings with Christina! Have to start re-painting the old painted furniture and creating new moments. How do I handle painting over a glazed chalk painted armoire or do I need to remove or prime first? Love to see some painting over particle board furniture and veneers, like a desk. Appreciate your help.
Christina, just discovered you a few days ago and have been marathon-watching since‼️ Finally, someone who has the voice that is so soothing as well as encouraging! Someone diversified and instructs so you absolutely believe you can finger crochet when you’re dialectic, thank you! Painting walls with hall paint, with a brush no less! Who knew!!! And your husband and cut aways to your four-legged family… oh I feel like I’ve won the lottery 🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️ Thank you and keep up your awesome work! We need you💛 Jody Westfall🫠
Hi Jody! Welcome to the channel glad you are enjoying the channel!! No worries about spell check!! I has changed a few words for me as well!! See you on Saturday!! ❤️🎨🙏
Hi Christina , another beautiful project well explained, thank for sharing your knowledge. I want to paint the vanity unit , under sink , from my small courtesy bathroom , the typical one white and glossy, awful, that seems plastic ..If I spay first with primer rustoleum would it be possible with chalk paint? would it be enough ?
🇨🇦. Thank you so much for your inspirational tutorials. BTW I recognize the view! Looking for property on the SSC soon as my family lives there quite near you! Thanks again from Victoria ❤️❤️❤️ 🇨🇦
Hi love them all i have a question did you paint the base of the vase with white paint or did you leave them as they were? Ive waited all day to watch this video i live in Germany we have a bit more daylight thank goodnrss.xx
Hi Susan!! Great question!!! I actually left them clear. I think though I would next time just paint them white as it would have helped with not needing to add so much plaster at the base rim which was challenging! I can't wait till more daylight!!! ❤️🎨🙏
¡Hola! 🎨❤️🙏
11pm and I falling asleep with your soothing voice. Beautiful vases. I'll try your technique in two large lamps that I convert into vases cutting the top part with a very inexpensive dremel from harbor freights
My favorite was the 3rd vase! It looks like wood! Excellent application! Love your ideas and the rope was a great accent to add on.... You inspire me, thank you for sharing your talent I’ve learned so much from you...

Hi love your video ,where can i buy the paint for the vases I've been looking for a interest and just love this.I live in Upper Hunter in NSW .Thank you Theresa
I thought the vase that was glazed with burnt umber came out looking like a wooden vessel. I think it was my favorite, but all your pieces were wonderful.👍🏻
Beautiful, I just discovered your tutorials since one week. A a real inspiration for me, as well Nicola . Thank you Christina. Best regards from Vienna.
Hi Kimberly!! I post every Saturday morning 9am EST time. If you hit the notification bell you can be notified every time I post a new tutorial. See you Saturday! 🎨🙏❤️
Thank you so much for your tutorials💕 Can you tell me if it is possibke to add crystals/gemstones. This technique is enough to hold the crystal in the vase?
As I have told you before, I look forward to watching you on Saturday morning. I missed watching you paint furniture last week. I learn so much from watching you paint. AND THE VASES!!! Would you believe that I gave away several glass vases. I am in my winter home and I was trying to make space. Guess I will have to go to the thrift store and buy them back. I always forward your videos to my friend in Wyoming. Did I see correctly - you didn’t mix the salt wash - just dipped your paintbrush in the dry - what a discovery!
Hi Mary!!! Yes I had quite a few like you of these glass vases and wanted to figure out a crafty way to restyle them!! The saltwash technique is a great way to at the texture on the fly when you need it! Thanks again for taking the time on your Saturday to watch my tutorials! ❤️🎨🙏
Thank you so much!!! Such a wonderful tutorial!!! I am going to work on my vases now. You mentioned laquer in this video. Do you use spray or brushed on laquer? I am experimenting with brushing laquer and find it very challenging to have a nice smooth finish without scratches (after sanding and buffing the orange skin effect) on top of the buffets. Do you have any tips? Maybe you could show it on your future tutorials? Thank you 😊
Hi Tati!! Thank you for your kind words!!! Yes! brushing laquer/top coats can be challenging for a smooth finish! I find using a very good quality synthetic brush and the water based lacquers like for example minwax is give a better outcome. I have used the sponge applicators as well, just have to make sure you don't create a lot of bubbles with it. I hope this helps! ❤️🎨🙏
Always a breeze to watch your videos full of amazing ideas and simplicity, trying your tutorial this weekend to give my vases a much need it makeover ;)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, you are inspiring and I love how you show us to use items right in our own home. You must live in the US, I am in Vancouver Island, can’t get Annie Sloan paint here 😞 I tried Amazon .ca paint not available there either 😔
Hi Laurie! I am based in BC as well! You can get AS in Victoria and as in Vancouver in Langley. If you go to AS website and place your postal code for a local stockest it will so you and you can order online! 🎨🙏❤️
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom fantastic, thanks again, I am Hooke on your channel and enjoy every minute you give us, cheers! It is a great way to spend indoors 🥰
I have plaster of Paris, and have wanted to do "something" with it. I have some glass vases I was about to get rid of...and I love to paint, so here goes! Thanks to RU-vid for suggesting your channel, I subbed!! Thank you for sharing❣
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed this. I especially enjoyed the tip on how to get the "edges' to blend better with the small artist brush dipped in water. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and encouraging our creativity as you explore and expand your own!! :-)
Wowzer Christina 😍 You are the master of creating all things beautiful. Thank you so much for always sharing all your knowledge. It inspires me to keep going. I do have a request for one of your Q&A's. Lighting and staging. I am so lost where this is concerned and am about to purchase lighting. How do you do it. Your Staging is always so beautiful. Have an awesome week!
The second and the 3-rd vase is wow . They are my taste and I definitly have to give this a shot . It reminds me antique greek potery with that olimpic sportifs ilustrated on .
Love the vases! I found an old vase in my garage I sponge painted a long time ago that I’m going to give a new look with Plaster of Paris. Your channel is wonderful. Thank you ever so much for sharing your talent!
