Dead simple waste motor oil burner assembly and operation. I have to give credit to ‎@glumpy10 for this design. This is where I started my oil burning adventure. I have built countless burners since the early days of learning how these burners operate. I have taken what I've learned from these simple designs and have come up with the perfect burner for my application. I think it's a great place to start for anyone who wants to learn about burning waste oil. Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe, if you haven't already!

Spot on! Don't have to be complicated and having them run red hot is the the key.

thanks man. good stuff. have you tried a router speed controller for your air blower?

also yes. I think you and the aussie oil burner would get up to some crazy stuff

Yes, I have,I should have demonstrated that as well! I will do that in the next video. I will build another style in the next one.

0:16 this is just a f****** piece of stainless steel that's worth a crap load of money unless you can get it from your buddy Joe down the street

I'll build an easier to obtain burner next. My other burners are made from exhaust pipe. I'll make sure there's no welding required as well. I will change the title, too.

@@karlsoffroad I'm not ripping on you, and I subscribe to your channel... I just see a lot of people post that they did something with some part which cost a lot of freaking money and it's not replicable unless they have the same source for that part. I love anybody posting about welding and waste oil burning.
@karlsoffroad
@karlsoffroad 10 месяцев назад
@xephael3485 I understand completely. I didn't think about the material, more about the simple design. Someone else pointed out the welding, which I didn't think about either. I'll make one out of an old fire extinguisher. I know those are easy to get. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Im looking at building a waste oil burner to heat my shop, I like this design. I’m thinking of using 6 to 8 “ drill casing for the burner pot and putting the whole deal inside an old water heater

Awesome! Would you recommend this burner over the one that you have in your boiler? Seems like it's pretty efficient. Really looking forward to your next videos

Gerat video! Simple as it, BUT how can you prevent the fuel tank from catching fire through the oil line?
@karlsoffroad
@karlsoffroad 8 месяцев назад
I've never had that problem. That's the only problem I've never had! Lol,I run one in my boiler 24/7, and that's how I have always done it. The oil will vaporize much easier if it's warmed up. I know some like to have a p-trap in the line,but I've never needed it. Thanks for watching!

Having trouble with your slowing or inconsistent drip rate? Here's the solution on how to maintain a constant temperature? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rg94BKdvjk8.htmlsi=7iNVqHObtJ22G1vE

I just use a pump and a needle valve with a bypass,so I don't deadhead the pump. Consistent and reliable oil delivery. I run everything outside, so the temperature makes a huge difference in flow rate with gravity feed. Thanks for watching!

I'll do a no weld version. I was just thinking about the welding thing. I'll get working on that.

How much oil does it burn
@karlsoffroad
@karlsoffroad 9 месяцев назад
It can burn as little or as much as you need. The power output of any type of burner is determined by how much fuel you use.
