I finally found an affordable way to give my daughter watercolors. She loves to paint and told me she ran out of some of her colors but paint is mostly expensive. Thank you for posting this. Now I won’t have to spend that much money.
You stated concerning the quality, but these are more than exceptional. I have a ton of pigments lying around + I’m a bit of a baking soda hoarder😅 haha, now they can be put to better n creative use. Thank you:) -Dea🐛🌱
A few years ago I made a mini traveling watercolor case, I made it using a Altoids tin box and then I used empty little acrylic cups that fit perfectly in it! (I think you can get them anywhere... the little cups used for paint by numbers where you can snap off each color?) then I hot glued those in and on the lid I glued on the lids from the cups so I could mix the colors. Then I filled up each cup with the colors I wanted. Sorry that was so long.. is that what you were asking about? ☺️
Im young and wanted to know how to make some of my own paint for my artistic abilities and wanted to test things out and make my own watercolors I'm going to crush flowers and other things to get natural/faded colors, thank you :)
If you're in a pinch you can also dilute food coloring with water and paint with that too! Kasey Golden did a whole video painting with food coloring if anyone's curious about that method
Thansk you so much! My little brother wanted to paint but it we couldn’t even share a small thing, when i watch this o decided to make a big one! Thank thank!!! You need a hug!
From what I’ve read, if you want to do it with eye shadow, you would need to use Gum Arabic and mix them together (the binder will help it from just smearing after you paint with it) When you want to use it, you would treat it like regular watercolors (just by adding water to a brush). Hope that helps!
This is such a easy hack! I wanted to get some water colors but the cost alot soo this is a good way to make some. But i dont have food coloring, if you have any ideas on how to dye them without food coloring please send the help.
I dont have baking soda so im just going to use some old dried paint and im going to add some water to that but not now since its 10:50pm in my country and because im sick
Oh that is so creative! You can totally try it, I’ll have to try it as well! I’ve been looking for different ways of getting the color as well. Let me know how it goes! (Just make sure to make it a really fine powder)
I believe that baking powder should work! It will most likely leave a powdery residue when it is drying so just wait for it to be totally dry and wipe away the powder! However, I have never personally tried it so let me know how it goes!😊
I forgot to get watercolors when grabbing my acrylic paint well i might get some but for now ill try this :D could u also make a video on how to make clay without flour? Cause im veitnameese and wE Has nO FLOUR i thINK
Just yesterday y tried to do watercolors with a pencil powder and water haha, it works but so bad¿? xd At least paint, is the important I'm gonna trie this 🐢
Oh that’s interesting! I looked it up and it looks like kaolin clay can be used to make clay paints which I’m not quite sure how those work. But I don’t think it will work to make watercolors because I think it would be too thick!
Mine turned really grainy, and was hard use. They left this grainy substance and wouldn’t fully dry in the tin. Anyone know what I did wrong? I added a lot of water but not too much.
Did you use baking powder? And make sure that it was a thick consistency? It should dry like a hard cake and then you can wet it. It will leave a powdery residue on the paper once it is dry but then you can just wipe it off!
Hi new subscriber Cn I use blue ink for coloring and red powder for red colour and yellow with turmeric. And then mix the colours to make different colours please tell please And I love your videos very much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have a newer video where I used natural ingredients (like turmeric) to make watercolors, I boiled down some water with turmeric to get a more concentrated color, however, once I added it to baking powder, it became a lot less vibrant! I would try adding turmeric straight to the baking powder, like pretend it’s the food coloring and see what happens! You should be able to mix them once they have set. Hope this helps!
Depending on how wet you make them, that will determine how long it takes to dry. I’m not sure how long they will last but since these ingredients won’t “expire” they should last a long time.
Yes. It is the recipe for pottery paint. It is meant to be powdery. If you don’t like the texture on paper I recommend wiping off the powdery bits with a dry paper towel.
I found a tutorial! I can explain it to you though: Mix together cold water, flour and salt until you get a smooth consistency. Chop up your crayons and place in cups/tins. Pour a little bit of hot water into each tin and melt your crayons. Then add a little of the flour mixture to your colors! Hopefully that made sense!
