I put this together in about 10 minutes with about $10 worth of materials. Not as nice as a Crossrope, but for $80 less, it does the job. I’m sure with a little more time and creativity, this could be improved on, but I mainly wanted to share the tip that you can replace the licorice rope in most cheap jump ropes with vinyl-coated cable of a similar diameter and have an instant weighted jump rope. The nice thing is if the rope wears out or wears through, you can replace it for about a buck. MAKE SURE IT IS SECURE before you use it. I won’t be responsible for injuries or damage caused by flying steel cable.
