I use the 5" Roman stencil from Hobby Lobby that cost $6 with 40% off coupon. I've done several and it takes about half an hour each (not including any drying time) from first coat of paint, doing the stencil and sealing.

I have tried painting through stencils and always get bleeds when I pull up the stencils. I'm going to try this method next time.

If you rub a piece of crayon or chalk all over the back before you trace the letter it helps in the transfer

Will that acryilic craft paint hold up outside if it doesn't have a clear sealer coat over it? I know some craft paints are ok for exterior use but I don't think this brand is

Yes, it should be ok. We have a covered porch so I know it'll be fine. But I do recommend using a sealer for it

I copied your design and turned it over and stained the other side and wrote it again and painted it red, white and blue for the 4th of July and memorial day. The first letter W I painted red then next one white and the next blue . I sat it on my front porch for memorial day ..

I hate videos that lie to other people. This did not cost you $3 to make. The minmax espresso 8oz stain is $8 by itself. I don't know the exact measurements of the board except that its 6 ft in length and 1 inch thick. 6 inch wide boards start at $7 and 12 inch wide boards start at $13. Let's assume you already have paint brushes from other projects and you can print large letters from your computer to make a stencil. Minimal cost for the board and stain is already $20+. Why do people insist on lying? Don't take my word for it. Look it up yourself like I did
