So now that the pieces are laid out, it is time to weld. I am definitely a little concerned and am not 100% sure it will be effective, but with prices the way they are, it is worth a try. I already have a backup plan in place for it if it doesn’t seem stable.... thanks for tuning in!!!

I once made a >20ft rolling gate for a friend and I found out the hard way how difficult it can be to keep a piece straight when you are attaching multiple uprights along its length.

yes it is tricky. I now have a 40 ft table that I welded to the side of a shipping container to help with this process...

I'm trying to do my own trusses too. What are the measurements that you used?

This one wasn't very scientific so I just spaced the webbing approximately 16 inches from top to bottom cord using 1.5" x 1.5" angle iron at 1/8" thick. The webbing angles are about 60 degrees
