This is a step-by-step overview of making a simple wooden niddy noddy, which is useful for winding up skeins of yarn. This niddy noddy is made from wood with round tenons on each end.
Note that this is a 2 yard niddy noddy, which means that the length of each stretch of yarn is about 17" ... once you multiply 17" x 4 wraps of the niddy noddy, then add 4 inches (for the width of the niddy noddy's arms), you get your 2 yards of fiber.
