Video of building the trusses: • [Off Grid Build] Natur...
G'day Viewers,
First part of a two part series building a woodshed with the round wood trusses we made a while back.
Hopefully if it goes well will be using the design to build a number of other structures, such as greenhouses and such.
Part 2 soon.
Cheers
Tarn

This trusses are very nice, but this poles in the ground will rot away much earlier, here in india most people use 6 inch ID cement pipes (6 feet tall) like a columns around 2 feet deep, fill it with sand or sand stones and then put poles in it then use some cement to fix poles, this prevents wooden poles from rotting.....!

Looking good. Do you plan on enclosing it? Good tidings from Michigan USA.

G'day Mate! Yeah, so the plan is to have it semi-enclosed. We will probably build a small walk in storage shed to one end to store some axes and such in. Another two outer walls Im planning on creating a wired trelis to have some fruit vines climb up and semi enclose. So there will be plenty of air flow to allow firewood to season properly but enough of an enclosure to keep super bad weather out. Cheers.

How do you keep critters from eating the fruit and veg that you grow?

I use a sulpher based tomato dust every now and then on the plants. Sometimes large bird netting if I can be bothered setting it up. There is always a little loss, i find the best thing to do is to just grow enough for the critters and yourself.
